How attractive do you think men would rate you on a scale of 1-10?

Younger guys 7.5
Guys my age 9.5

I think other women would put me at 5-7 max. I am definitely one of those women who is more attractive to men than other women.

I have terrible stretch marks and a wonky c-section scar so with no clothes on probably a 3.

I don’t know, I think a lot of men don’t care that much. My children were both walking and talking before my husband noticed my stretch marks. He said “hey, what’s going on there?” As if they had not been there for many years!

After my second c-section I ended up with a little fold of skin that won’t go back. I hate it. My husband is generally just happy to see me naked and definitely doesn’t complain but since I am not willing to have it fixed surgically I am resigned to having a kind of ugly stomach

I’m married, who cares what men think anyway? I would much prefer to be the type of woman considered pretty and stylish by other women but this is not my fate.

Man here, and that's all there is to it! Also, the older generation puts more emphasis on the big knockers than the younger guys. Men were straighter then, I guess.

All that to say, for them, meeting you is essentially indistinguishable from meeting their favorite movie star or pin-up girl from the 50s and 60s.

So let's go with this rubric:

In shape? You start at 5.

Is hair styled and current (no mom cut and no gray)? +1
Do you attempt to wear clothes that fit and are reasonably current? +1
Do you wear some kind of makeup to accentuate better features? +0.5

So you're at an 7.5 if you're doing all of the above.

8-10 is reserved for genetic good looks.

No, this is too generous, especially if you have some obvious issues (like a massive nose).

I kind of think no in an older woman. I would agree with you with a 25 year old. But I think a well kept, thin older woman is going to beat out most of her peers because let's get real most women are not keeping it together all that well.

Also to the big boobs...big boobs past about 45 don't end well unless they are fake.

4. Not fat, just ugly.

Does an LA 5 = Miami 5?

+1 but only for DC and only over 35+.

Also DC in shape is more forgiving than LA in shape. I’d actually go with +1 for makeup and hair (have to have combo) but only .5 for clothes. Let’s be honest..dc fashion is terrible. So, 6.5 for reasonable fit with makeup on and decent hair and outfit.

Bonus .5 for cultured/educated and .5 for financially independent which takes you up to 7.5 in DC.

LOL Newsflash, I’ve needed a heavy duty bra since my teen years, it’s not like my big boobs started well either. 😂 It’s not like men are going to see my breasts without a bra except for my husband! And you know what, men don’t care. They are thrilled just to be around me. Not ALL men, certainly, but a very particular and giddy subset.

I love that OP spun this off from the Money forum

I'd rate 20 something me a 5. Had bad posture and late to braces.

How did you fix your posture?

Probably 7 I’m 51. I think I look pretty good for my age. Size 4, I workout, no jowls or crazy wrinkles (thank you melanin!) and I color my hair. So it does take work.

I used to be a 10. Now I'd say I'm a 1. COVID was hard for me plus a bad breakup. I let myself go. I'm working on getting my shat together though.

A solid 1 at any stage of life. Boys actually barked at me in high school.

I'm in shape (size 2/4) but have "obvious issues" like a big nose. After 51 years I have lost the ability to care about this.

Core strength exercise mainly. My posture is still not perfect, but it's better than before.
