So that is the free pass and why people don’t get on him: He was legally written out of her life. It isn’t “on her” if she is protecting her kid from abuse. This is like saying if someone has restraining order against a person, it is the fault of the person seeking the order that the stalker/Domestic abuser can’t contact them. The blame rests with the abuser who needs to be an adult in control of her/himself. If Tom Cruise were a sane father, and keep his kids out of a cult, he would have access to Suri. He isn’t. |
Nicole has never said more so she could leave the door open to have a relationship with her children. |
|
I’m sure Tom’s people establish clear rules when it comes to interviews, and people are simply not allowed to ask about Suri.
I suspect Katie agreed to an NDA on Tom, their relationship, etc. in order to get a payout and the kid. I suspect there are clauses that give her an out (meaning if he says or does certain things—like publicly comment on her—then the nda is voided). That’s the only explanation for why it’s been so quiet for all these years. |
This exactly. Most people are probably relieved for the mom and daughter, and feel sad for the father. |
Possibly. But I think it's also very likely that she can't say more due to the terms of her agreement. |
| I don't think Katie has kept Suri away from Tom. He was papped with Suri a couple times immediately after the divorce. I think Tom has decided that Katie and Suri are Suppressive Persons and he has made the choice to cut them out of his life entirely. |
She basically abandoned them though, right? Haven’t the kids spoken out and said something to that effect? I understand her needing to get away from Tom, but I don’t ever think I’ll understand how she just left her kids with him and then created a new family with Keith Urban. |
No, they're Scientologists and consider her a Suppressive Person, so cannot have contact with her. |
+1 |
Didn’t Tom serve her with divorce papers? She was blindsided, right? And don’t you think she tried to see the kids but Tom and Scientology forbade it? That’s my recollection/assumption. |
One of the Scientology people who left talked about this in Going Clear. The kids were basically brainwashed against Nicole. |
But even if Scientology / Tom forbade it, in the great state of California, there’s something called parental rights. Even if a court wouldn’t give her joint custody (which would be very unlikely but let’s assume Scientology can influence CA state judges), she could’ve gotten visitation. Why didn’t she pursue legal options? Then again, Tom would’ve had legal options when it came to Suri too. So who knows, maybe Scientology is at the root of all this… or else Nicole just wasn’t that committed to being a mom of her two kids, and Tom just wasn’t that committed to being a dad to Suri. |
We don’t know what kind of father he is. |
Not necessarily. Visitation and custody is left to the judges who can be bias. |
He probably threatened her with years of litigation to bankrupt her and might have had other leverage. He’s crazy and was far more powerful than her when they divorced. |
