I have no idea what Jeff's opinion on this is.

A quick look at this thread suggests that it is not much more than a five page argument. Since that has given you ample opportunity to make your point, it is probably time to move on and let the OP get input from others.

For the record, you don't have to be an Au Pair or someone who hosts Au Pairs to post here. But, as in every other forum and thread on the website, we do appreciate posters making positive contributions to the discussions with disruptions keep to a minimum.
Two of those threads were old and just revived recently. So I removed them and left the current thread.
Could you please link to the threads so that I know where they are? Thanks!
I don't know if it was a troll but I removed the thread because it had gotten a little explicit.
I'm going to bump this thread. At this point, I will likely move the forum over the weekend.

I have no idea what you are clicking on, but normally it take one click to get to the DCUM home page, one click to get to the main Nanny Forums home page, and one click to get to the Au Pair forum. After the change, it would be the same except that the second click would take you to the DCUM Forums home page instead of the Nanny Forums home page.
Anonymous wrote:Why have the Au Pair forum as part of childcare on the main forums, but not the nanny sections?

Because the nanny search forums, along with the housekeeper forums, amounts to eleven forums. I don't want to increase the number of forums in the main section by eleven.

I am really interested in the opinions of people who post in the Au Pair forum about the potential move. I am not considering moving other forums so there is not really a need to discuss other forums.
Anonymous wrote:Why not simply change the name from Nanny Forums to Childcare Forums?

I'm not considering moving all of the Nanny Forums, but just the Au Pair forum. I still want to keep the Nanny Search forums and the Nanny discussion topics in their own area.
I am considering revamping some of the forums in the main DCUM Forums section. One change about which I am thinking is to create a childcare section. Since Au Pairs are definitely part of childcare, this forum would fit well in that section. I would move the existing messages to the main section, so these discussions would not be lost (each topic and post has a numerical id which would have to change, but that shouldn't be noticeable to users).

Is there anyone opposed to this idea?
Done.
Thanks for reporting those. If there are lots of spams like has been happening tonight, just write that in the comments section of the report. If you want to copy and paste the URLs into the comments section, you can do that as well. But, simply saying, "there are lots more of these" is enough. I'll find them by IP address.
I think that it is extremely likely that it was the same poster and I've removed both threads.
Done.
It looks like I had already deleted it.
