When we had a share five years ago, we had it structured as follows: nanny had two weeks of paid vacation. Apart from that, families were free to take any other time off, and the nanny received $15/hr (instead of our regular $19) when she cared for only one child instead of two. The family that remained under her care paid that rate.

Makes sense we are considering a share and this seems a good compromise between 3 parties each taking their own vacation without having to sync schedules.

This is what we do too, it works out well.

You three posters don't sound like you know what you're talking about with that ridiculous scheme. You think family B will agree to increase their costs every time family A doesn't need the nanny, for whatever reason?

Are there really three parents on this thread who are that dumb? Unbelievable!

Well, six if you count the share families! Yes, of course they agree because they get the same benefit.

No one here cares about you, but I imagine your family does. And yes, you may keep your personal opinion as you see fit. No one wants to take anything away from you. Nor can you control the opinions of other mothers. Sorry.

No one here cares about anyone. You and I are the same kind, anonymous Internet bozos. No one can control anyone's opinions. You can't control other people's opinions, either. Your opinion isn't worth more than anyone else's. You can't make people stop posting because you disagree.

I actually do appreciate the smart nannies and parents on this forum, and you should to. I learn things from them and you should to. Think about it a bit.

It seems to balance out. If one family were suddenly taking way more vacation they would need to revisit the agreement, but most people are not trying to nickle and dime each other the way nannies on this forum seem to.

Nickle and dime is what you do, you retard, not nannies.
