We gave our nanny 700.00 bonus, plus 150 in gift cards for her kids, plus a nice bottle of tequila (happen to know she appreciates good tequila). she has worked for us 2 years, and makes 750/week. We would love to have given her more, but neither of us have gotten raises or bonuses in 3 years, while we have raised her salary. We also had 4 teachers to give (small) gift cards too as well this year. |

Location: DC suburbs How Long Have You Worked at Current Position: going on 2 years Hours Worked a Week:25-30 Pay Per Week: varies, generally around $500 net Bonus: $250 plus a week of paid vacation (in addition to 3 weeks already taken this year) Supplemental Gifts: some fancy shoes, gift basket with hand creams and candies, homemade cookies I honestly wanted to give a week's pay but could not talk my husband into it, since neither of us has ever received a bonus. Since she'll wind up with close to 5 weeks paid vacation this year, I'm hoping that will make up for it. |

I love this family/kids so much. I feel so happy and appreciated. Not because of the bonus but because they are great and fair with me. |

No one I know pays $1000+ for their nanny. |

Location: TX Time in Position: 3 months Hours: about 12 to 15 Pay per week: $225 Bonus: None Supplemental Gifts: $25 movie gift card Also received a huge chocolate gift basket and $50 movie gift card from 2 other families I provide as needed care for. I'm a little surprised I was even given anything. Parent is one of those new to employing weekly in home care and doesn't get bonuses, etc. The position is very easy but I would like to be paid on the books and have guaranteed pay so working on my options. My family isn't back yet so who knows what else
nova almost 2 years 40 hours a week at 18 an hour bonus: some cash prefer they left said they would have more later present for my dog who is loved by the kids, a restaurant gift card they know I like. many days off. Even though one of them hasn't been working full time due to a job change I know I am loved and appreciated. |
