I'm not expecting anything from my NF. MB is stepping down from her job at the end of the year but has said she will honor the rest of our contract (aug 2014 is my last month)
So I could have been with no job this christmas, instead I have an MB who values her word enough to make sure I didn't get screwed in the end. I'd take that over a bonus any day.

Curious if the nannies getting a bonus right now are off for the holidays? Or if you are just receiving gifts early? And if so why?

I'm not off for the holidays yet but many people give bonuses early in the month so they can be used to purchase Christmas gifts.

I'd be surprised if any employers responded to this poll. They'll be afraid of getting their heads bitten off.

Exactly, which is why they don't admit to each other how much they really pay their wonderful nannies. Btw, it isn't 15/hr. Good nannies do better than that.

I mean, no one wants to admit that stiffed a good nanny, for no other reason than they didn't want to.

No, this type of poll was successfully done by ISYN for many years. I, and many others, looked forward to the responses. However, this forum had become so hostile forum to employers that I wouldn't post my nanny's bonus even though it is very generous. This is unfortunate because novice employers, like I was several years ago, were educated by the ISYN poll and their nannies benefitted accordingly.
