Uh...OP...She is 22. Mostly all 22 yr olds are always on their phones. They have those damn things glued to their hips. Have you been living under a rock??
If you want a nanny who doesn't look at her phone and text that much, hire someone in their thirties. Problem solved. |
I don't think that's fair, PP. We've had three au pairs that were in the 20-23yo range and only had the phone issue with one of them. Yes, many young adults this age are glued to their phones. But there are plenty that are mature enough to realize how to focus on a job too. And I know 30yos that are also glued to their phones and/or engaging in some other behavior during work hours, so you can't say that everyone should just hire a 30-something and everything will be perfect. There are pros and cons to all ages and all nannies (since they are all individuals). |
I've been working for 9 hours and I've sent 5 text to my husband while the kids were awake. They were fully engaged in playing with each other each time. I've probably sent 20+ since they started napping. |
