Pre-k, girl, at our first choice NPS! Thrilled.

I'm sorry for the posters who didn't get the results they hoped for.

Yield is percentage of accepted students who come to the school. All schools want yeses ASAP, so jump gun. No incentive to tell people "no" early, hence WL that may not be realistic.

Yes, but there is also no reason to boldly lie by denying that emails have been sent to accepted families.

I seriously doubt that GDS intentionally lied. I do believe that there must have been a major miscommunication between between the desk and the ADs, which seems to have been corrected at some point in the early afternoon.

GDS was not even a school to which we applied, but after reading the various posts on this topic, my guess is that technically GDS did not inform anyone via email, which is why the receptionist responded as she did; however, to accepted families, GDS sent an email with the contract attached thus a de facto acceptance letter. If I am right, they are disorganized for sure, but without bad intent.

Wow! Congrats!

Wow that's impressive! Truly happy for your son.
The best result is to have choices.

Curious--are you coming from public? Which state?

What grade? Is CHD Capitol Hill? If so, how where you notified?

Thanks. Then I guess that means it is a no for us. Kind of bummed about it even though at the Playdate it became really obvious they had less spots than we were originally told because of the numerous siblings applying. Congrats to you and good luck on making a final
Choice!

Feeling sad. Have not heard from Holton for my daughter for 6th or for my son from Landon for 3rd.
