It's funny because I think compared to any other town in the country, this one consistently shows this dynamic at work - again and again and again.

So my advice to guys is - don't cheat or step out on your wife (loyalty and supportiveness are the two biggest keys in my book to a long and healthy relationship).

BUT if you want to/do, make sure your value is so high that your wife won't leave you because she knows instinctively that she will never land a guy ever again at your level.

It is less about condoning any actions of people but more of exposing the truths.

I don't know what it is about DC, but compared to Boston, NYC, SF, or LA I think women here give their men a pass more. I really do. You can't compare it to small town fly over country where a woman might economically need to give a man a pass but I think DC is the worst compared to peer cities in terms of women giving men passes.

Then I seriously doubt it's him. Then again, I dunno where he lives . It was a craigslist hook-up. He claimed to live in the same town I do. I was suspicious when he got hotel rooms so close to the neighborhood he claimed to live in. (Then again, he wasn't expecting DW to go out after 11 pm).

I'm now a bit suspicious because I reached out to him about hooking up again this evening snd he hasn't responded. That's not like him.

But I digress. I'm almost certain these are different people.

OP, open your eyes now. He's cheating, and has no problem lying about it. If you want to work on the marriage that's up to you, but you need to be honest with yourself first or you won't get anywhere.
