At what age is a bikini no longer acceptable?

+1

It doesn't matter what you look like, if you want to wear a bikini, do so.

Oh my!I think this is an all American (and by that I mean US plus ) problem. Americans are soooo uptight

We are indeed by some standards. But also immodest by other standards.

Totally agree. Tankinis are hideous. One pieces are so much more flattering.

Going to the bathroom is a lot easier in a tankini. As far as I can tell, mine looks pretty much the same as my one pieces.

Agreed about the beach and irrational modesty of 1 vs. 2 piece suits in the USA. Living abroad was was great because I could go to the beach in a bathing suit (2 piece) without wondering if everyone there thought I should be in a 1-piece.............because NO ONE WAS. I don't even know if I could have bought one in any brick and mortar store if I tried! After 1 day, you realize this hypercritical judgement we have on this very silly, tiny issue is absolutely a non-starter almost any place else.

I'm 36 and hell yea "look at me!" I'm looking goooooood! Had a guy last year trip and fall into the pool-he was cranking his neck around so far, he wasn't watching where he was walking.

That is what happens when God blesses me with 3 children and a 27 inch waist and 32D boobs, and I have the discipline to keep my 5'10" 140# 36yr old ass lifting weights that the gym daily.

Can't wait for the beach. You can shake your head all you want....just watch my badonkadonk walk on by, I'm sure your husband will.

She is still a bit big and her breast sag.
She shouldn't have worn that.

You just hope you look that good at her age.

Someone said that accepting that you need to change the way that you should dress as you age is growing older gracefully. In some ways this is true but you also need to recognize that in alot of ways it is giving up. If you have a good body wear a great suit that you are comfortable in. Don't buy a Lands End tankini simply because you are a mom. Half of the women I see wearing those would look so much better in a modest 2 piece. Ladies, give up these unflattering tankinis and go for a stylish one piece or a flattering 2 piece. The tankini is the equivalent of the skirted swimwear our fat moms used to wear.

Nothing is worse than the skirted bathing suit.

She is 67! I bet you did not look at good at 37, probably not even 27.

If I look like her at 67, I'll rock my bikini still. Given that I work out daily and eat well, I probably will continue to look amazing in a bikini.

To the posters who claim that they wear a tankini due to the ease of using the bathroom, please act like a grownup and put on a "big girl" bathing suit. Your tankini does not flatter you!

Helen Mirren is a god.

I think women should wear whatever fits their body the best and what they are most comfortable in. I hate that because you are a mom, you shouldn’t wear a bikini. If you can pull it off, than more power to you. I was just rocking a bikini on vacation last month playing on the beach with my 2kids. I just dont parade around in it. Personally one pieces (or tankinis) make me look shorter than I am.

Helen Miren is wearing a two piece, Denise Richards is wearing a bikini. Both look great! Where what you want ppl!
