At what age is a bikini no longer acceptable?

If you saw a 40 something woman on the beach in her bikini with a grown son what would you think?

I'm 44 and I still wear one. I'm not a slut, I'm not a whore, and I have plenty of self respect. What is the matter with some of you people?

No clue. I had no idea people still thought that way in the US.

I wear a bikini because I want to. My body is not "hot" anymore, and I was never really that concerned if it was, but the parts that have seen the most wear are those that would be exposed by even the most conservative one piece, as well (ie. saddlebags and cellulite on the legs). I do not understand these posts, OP. Honestly, there is something really wrong with you if you care.

Oh and I'm 40.

Do OP and others wear "swimming costumes" that go to the knees? What do you think about a burqua? Do you think its slutty to show your shoulders in church? And should men of a certain age hide their sagging chests also?

Please provide your age and then take this shit back to the 50 and over thread.

Just look away. You control you. Let others have control over their own bodies/fashion/life.

I think the Athleta, Patagonia, etc 2 pieces look athletic and fabulous on the moms who wear them to our club. These women respect themselves enough to work out and look great at 40 and up, and they look terrific. Not perfect llike a magazine, but healthy and happy. I've noticed they often wear shorts or a skirt when heading to the snack bar.

This thread is useless without pics.

Don't quack like a duck and people won't call you one.

I agree with this. When we are on vacation, the women who truly have NOT let themselves go look great in a bikini. Those who have, should not be wearing one, and I don't care how old they are.

After 45, unless you are a Victoria Secret model, it looks too revealing. All those wrinkles, sags, veins. Yikes! Likewise little girls of 12. There is an age bracket for the bikini and for some it is short or maybe never.

She is still a bit big and her breast sag.
She shouldn't have worn that.
