This is so interesting to read. My younger sister (29) is married with twin toddlers and has a six pack. Yup, she hits the gym everyday at 5 am and it shows. However, wears a tankini that covers up her greatest asset. She is so liberal in every aspect of her life I was really surprised she hung up the bikini just bc she is a mom especially considering how amazing she looks and how young she still is. She just casually responds that "no one wants to see a mom in a bikini." Whats even more odd is she's a marathoner who wears sport bras and shorts on long runs. Just don't get it.

I have a great upper body (I'm 45). Flat tummy, defined arms and shoulders, nice perky breasts. I look great in a bikini top. Unfortunately my legs and thighs and ass are not so great. I have terrible cellulite and my ass has just gone south in recent years. I wear a bikini top and cute gauzy pants or long sarongs. Just can't swim in pants! If my legs were better I'd wear one pieces and two pieces proudly.

On the contrary I believe wearing what one feels good in, is freedom. I plan on wearing my lovely ombre string bikini this summer, even though my six-pack disappeared, alas, with the coming of DC2...
