At what age is a bikini no longer acceptable?

No way! A tankini is way worse than a one piece. I have yet to see a one piece that my mom wouldn't wear. Tankinis are way cuter! The only suit worse than a one piece is a skirted suit.

I don't understand this debate at all. Just got back from vacation in Vegas and did not see a single woman of any age in a one-piece suit. Is this issue a DC-area fixation? I haven't worn a one-piece suit since I was a child.

Hey haters, I wear a monokini.

This one is one I just bought for my trip to South Beach next week when I'm not topless. Suck it granny!

Not all of us turn into a Sloppasaurus Rex after having kids-allowing our mid section to look like a bowl of lumpy pudding.

I am 33 and look like crap in a bikini. Small but squishy and an ugly midsection. Ladies, if you can pull it off, I salute you!! No hating here. and I will be watching from the sidelines in my overpriced hipster ironic one-piece.

I have those too, sting bikini's to be exact. I do own a full piece, Speedo for laps in the pool.

The monokini looks awesome, I can pretty much wear a paper bag and it is going to look good. That is what happens when one maintains their body.

Totally agree. Tankinis are hideous. One pieces are so much more flattering.

Going to the bathroom is a lot easier in a tankini. As far as I can tell, mine looks pretty much the same as my one pieces.

For me it is ease of bathroom and also I have a really long torso and one pieces never fit me except in the rare long torso sizing. Easier to just get a tankini. Are they really that bad???

No tankinis are not bad at all. Go ahead and rock your tankini....these women are crazy!

Funny, I didn't even buy my first bikini until I was in my 30s, after having my first kid. Didn't have either the confidence or the abs to do it beforehand. Never occurred to me that it might be "inappropriate".

Don't quack like a duck and people won't call you one.

There's really awesome property and job opportunities in the Middle East for people like you. Asshole.

Maybe that is where PP is originally from.

Maybe that PP should go back there. One way ticket preferably.

Why? So you can dress like a hooker in peace? I am not from the middle east but it is sad that there is no in between with you. It is either low class street walker, or live in the middle east. But that is what freedom is about. You are free to present yourself like a whore, and I am free to call you on it.

"Anyone that says bikinis are unacceptable at any age obviously does not have the body to wear one. Accept that and let the rest of the women who take care of themselves enjoy their beautiful bodies. This is the United States of America. I am 55 and I still wear a bikini."

When you have got it, flaunt it! Beauty is fleeting. Why not?
