I'm 40 and my wife is 52. We have had LBD for the better part of 5 years (since my son was born). After kids, I felt so not sexy anymore. Changed that and lost the weight and now I'm hot again lol. She's in menopause and very very busy with her career. TBH we're best friends who co-parent and support each other through life. I am super horny but not all that interested in banging what has become my best friend co-parent. Sounds terrible but it's true. She makes zero moves b/c her libido is -5 at this point. So I sit around fantasizing about hot sex while she goes through the change of life. It's a mess. I have not officially gotten a "free pass" but we've talked openly about letting me explore a bit. I just haven't found the opportunity yet. I don't want to cheat but this sexless marriage stuff SUCKS.

At 14-- I wish my parents asked me!!!! It would have saved me a lot of emotional turmoil. I did the same thing btw. Dropped LGBT history facts--- Hey Mom-- did you know that Hitler might have been gay? Hanging Drew Barrymore posters on every inch of my bedroom walls. Listening to the Indigo Girls. I was also 14. I really just wanted them to ask me--- I was too afraid to say the words aloud.

FWIW I had crushes on women at 5. Yes. I remember there was this show about a lady and gorillas (lol) and I was mesmerized by her beauty. I was in kindergarten. I also remember asking myself if it was somehow wrong or something that I should keep to myself. I lived in a small little rural town and only saw men/ women couples. I think it depends on the kid but you can definitely feel different that young--- and you can have "crushes" that mean something. Now-- my 5 year old son is pretty vocal that he thinks his male friends are "cute" lol. He wants to marry his sister. He thinks I am the most beautiful lady in the world. So really-- take it all with a grain of salt!!!! You just never know...but keep an open mind and be supportive if he's willing to tell you things like this. It could all turn out to be true...or not.

One of my best friends dated women for almost 10 years but ended up marrying a man and having two children. Weirds me out! I thought she was wayyyyyy more gay than me.
