Conditional love seems to be the norm these days.

Such a naive and childish view of the world. Life and relationships are more complex than your old sayings.

Yes, fidelity and integrity are childish, you and your naughty sex are sooo grown up. What's it like, being one of the cool kids?

Although I agree that cheating is the easy way out - having your cake and eating it too (to use an old saying) - I definitely don't thing "For better or for worse" should be a reason to remain in an emotionless, sexless prison. Either work on it, or get out. But getting out is (and must be) an option. You only have one life. You are the sole author of the dictionary that defines you.

This.
PP was me, forgot to log in.
My wife took my name and I am glad she did. I did not require it, my wife wanted to. She is a very strong independent woman and I don't think it really mattered to either of us. However, I will state that I am the only male left and if I did not continue my family name (German heritage) it would likely die with me and for that reason I am glad she decided to take my name. We never had a discussion or anything.

PP, maybe because it is important to one person or they don't mind either way.

Honestly, if sitting a day at the DMV is the biggest of your worries then who gives a care. It doesn't seem like all that much effort to me and I don't see why you would be so biased against taking your husband's last name. If tradition was that I take my wife's last name and I wasn't morally opposed to it for whatever reason, then I would've changed it. It sounds like a non-issue to me and not sure why there has to be a debate about it (other than the feminist belief in displacing any tradition seemingly in any male's favor).

Sit her down, romance the hell out of her with flowers, candles, some marvin gaye and burn that pass. Now after this effort if she gives you another one, then ask if she will participate to eliminate the possibility of using this in a divorce.
Me and the wife had sex in a restaurant or two, not the best sex but definitely exciting! During lunch is definitely better than during dinner, as hardly any people will be in any restaurant around this time in dc (everyone is on vacation) try to hit maybe 2-3ish which is after the lunch rush but before any sort of dinner crowd.

Now that I think about it maybe should try this again, steal her into the bathroom and suck on her clit for a while.
I think a lot of great advice is on here already, but honestly sex only complicates issues. Deal with the infidelity separate than your feelings of improved sex. If you feel sick the next day you will not be able to continue this infinitely, especially not for just the money and keeping the family together. You need to evaluate how you feel about the infidelity and deal with that. Let him know about how you feel and deal with it together if you plan to continue your relationship. Best of luck.

God damn this thread is depressing.
it's hard to say. The kids place stress on the marriage that we live and have made it harder for us to place the focus on us. Looking at it how it is now probably not, we might not have gotten past the hard times without them as a primary reason to work things out and try harder. However, I believe our relationship and us as a couple would be completely different if we did not have kids, which makes this question impossible to know for sure.
