Tariffs are another deal - I’m sure he’s serious about those. A Canadian boycott makes sense to wield economic pressure, but honestly it has to be pretty targeted to have an impact on the massive US economy.

The federal govt has full authority to dictate border security and immigration. A city and state do not have the ability to decline federal laws.

While I hate all things Trump, if NY does have a law on the books that notifies immigrants when federal authorities request their records, that could be seen as obstruction. The feds have a lawful right to enforce immigration. States don't have to help at all. Zero. But they cannot obstruct.

There was no "radical shift", that's complete nonsense. The legislation she cosponsored and/or supported contained no text regarding the issue of shared spaces with transgender individuals.
She did, however, vote against The Equality Act which included the following per the Congress.gov summary:
