AMA stepping in since CDC is muzzled

Will AMA ever try to lower the cost of health care by increasing the number of available doctors? More residencies and medical schools?

Apparently bird flu is becoming a worrisome issue, and the AMA is doing the best it can to communicate with the stakeholders that our CDC normally would…but for this chaotic, misguided administration.

Is it going to be as bad as Monkey Pox? Lol

Funny how that just sort of fizzled out wasn't it?

Thank you, I’ll check it out!

Well there was a coordinated public health response that worked. Response still on going....but not on most people's radars because it hasn't gotten out of control so doesn't make the news

+1 and it was also the less concerning clads of mpox and transmitted primarily via contact rather than respiratory/airborne/droplet so....

Now if we end up with human to human transmission of avian influenza in the middle of a flu season that is already quite awful, that would be another story.

I'm grateful that the AMA is stepping up. This makes me think more highly of them.

Kinda what happens when there is a coordinated scientific and medical response. Thanks for making the point.

You sound like part of the pharmaceutical industry.

Who should step in then and fill CDC's former role? Every country has a public health service.

The AMA has even less credibility than the CDC right now. It has taken positions on political issues, but tried to cloak them in the guise of The ScienceTM.

This post shows just how far gone a large portion of the US population is. Science is science. There is always skepticism, which is why research is always performed to hone data to draw conclusions. That people actually believe science is political is brainwashed rhetoric. If you don't want to believe science then the alternative is to believe narcissistic leaders like Trump, Musk and RFK, Jr.

Where do you have your faith? In dispassionate scientific research or dear leader?

Let me remind you of rhetoric that democrats have been chanting like religious zealots:
TRUST THE SCIENCE!
DON’T QUESTION THE SCIENCE!
SCIENCE BY CONSENSUS!
DON’T BE A SCIENCE DENIER!

That is the literal definition of politicizing science.

Exactly.
