| Are there specific ones in the works? |

Yes, they are going to make Langley 50% FARMS.
(No, they are not, and the email states that no specific boundaries will be discussed). |
FCPS may have some in mind but will not discuss. |
| I was just looking at the attendance boundary at our elementary school and noticed the attendance islands. I think it's strange they have these and hope with new boundaries there will be uniformity. |
there are a lot of islands on RT1, and there is no chance they go away. Those islands make schools that would otherwise be mostly middle class schools title I schools. |
Can you post the email? |
Gosh. That is just so funny. It really is hilarious that the Langley pyramid with 1.3% FARMS is right next to a pyramid with 53% FARMS. Really, really funny. |
With Elaine Tholen, the DINO from Great Falls, representing both Langley and Herndon, don't expect anything else. |
Didn't she vote for changes to TJ admissions? |
It's not fair to Herndon. It's a terrible injustice. |
She cares about Langley, full stop. That's her one issue and she will keep Langley intact and devoid of FARMs students |
I live right next to Langley high. The 3 closest high schools are mclean, Marshall and Madison. Herndon is nowhere near Langley. Some far off parts of Great Falls is somewhat close to Herndon. |
Maybe those FARMs kids should move to the Langley pyramid then. |
You think it is an injustice to have poor kids at your school? Are there no AP classes at Herndon? |
| The problem with making the FARMS kids move to further schools is their attendance will go down. And when things happen like this year (buses sucking), they might not go because a parent can’t just drive. |
