| Edible have become a COVID-driven habit for us. Curious about others. |
|
She drinks, I rarely drink. Half the time I get a headache, my brain is hit or miss with it like sometimes I can get a buzz but others I literally need to binge drink to feel anything worthwhile, and drinking severely hinders my ability to maintain a top tier physique which is very important to me.
I love smoking and using edibles, and she doesn't like it. She says it makes her lazy / unproductive which even lasts the next day after being high, feel paranoid, eat too much sugar, and generally feel hazy and stupid and confused. Opposites attract I guess. |
| No. I grew up in a very toxic household filled with drugs and abuse. My mom was addicted to weed, as many of my other family are. I have never some drugs and didn’t want a partner who did drugs. My husband I do drink red wine a couple of times a month, but we don’t so drugs. I wouldn’t be able to be with someone who needed to get high to deal with things. |
| I went away for the weekend with 6 other women. 5 out of 7 did edibles. |
| I grew up seeing how drugs can destroy one's life and family. I can't see much good in it. |
Yeah, I think it's hard for those of us who have seen the damage drugs and alcohol do to relationships. |
|
Yes. I prefer my husband's personality after an edible than after a few drinks.
Me - probably use an edible once every 6-8 weeks on a weekend afternoon when nothing is going on. I have a few drinks probably 4 times a year. DH - I'd estimate he either vapes or does an edible once every 3 weeks on average. He drinks enough to get a buzz once or twice a week. We didn't start using pot until in our mid-30s. My opinion - for me and DH only - it feels way safer in terms of behavior and less risky for addiction than alcohol. People definitely should be aware of their own reactions. |
| We have what are known as jobs and responsibilities so no we don’t numb our brains. But you do you, Cheech! |
| I treasure my brain cells. |
Stress kills brain cells. Last couple posters need to lighten up a bit. Very boomer attitude. |
| Yes edibles |
| No, because we aren't teenagers. Also, we are not trash. |
| We only smoke, no edibles. Actually had a smoke last night and went out to dinner. It was a lovely night. I highly recommend. Both have professional careers and smoke to unwind. Way better than being hungover the next day. |
Do you feel the same way about drinking? Curious. |
It's not a boomer attitude - they grew up in the 60s and 70s. It's a gen x attitude - just say no. I've smoked pot exactly once in my life. I tried edibles twice and they made me terribly paranoid and gave me what can only be described as bed spins. It was horrible. I'm not judgy about those who enjoy pot but it doesn't seem to agree with me. |
