Do you and DH / DW smoke or do edibles?

I was at my doctor the other day and asked about marijuana. He says that now that’s it’s cultural acceptable to use (pretty much as often and as much as you want), he and his colleagues are starting to see a lot of health problems associated with use. It’s really not the miracle substance everyone thinks it is, and is has just as many risks as any other drug. Not harmless at all and we’ll probably see more and more health problems as use continues to climb.

I’m curious, if you live in VA where do you go to buy edibles? Do you go into DC? I’m confused on laws, where to buy, etc.

Same question about where people buy that is legal. I want regulation so much especially with street drugs now being laced with Fentanyl!

I’m not anti-pot in any form….but I don’t wAnt street drugs!

Curious what health problems they see that they know are attributable to pot. Did he say?

I just get it from a friend I trust. We smoke maybe 4-6 times a year so we aren't acquiring large quantities.

Yes, both, but more smoking. I don't drink anymore, and this feels way healthier. And it is cheaper too. No hangovers, no extra calories, better sleep. Also helps with headaches, and a bit with anxiety and stress, although I do notice some rebound anxiety some days. But much less than drinking.

We don't drink (can't handle the next day), or do drugs (security clearance).

Our bad COVID habit is afternoon sex, followed by a nap.

Curious what health problems they see that they know are attributable to pot. Did he say?

Specifically we were talking about mental illness, as I’m pregnant and schizophrenia runs in H’s family. H uses daily and OB was very concerned, as exposure to even second or third hand marijuana smoke can trigger the development of schizophrenia.

On a side note, OB thinks H should absolutely quit. I’m pretty sure H won’t, which is very frustrating for me.

Your doctor told you the risks of THC consumption are identical to the risks of narcotics? You need to find a new doctor.
