What do you do when you have a type but your type is not interested in you?

Anonymous
Have tried (unsuccessfully ) dating outside my type.

Generally I am interested in the people who are also interested in me.

But I'm just not attracted to these guys.

How old are you? What is your type?

30. Tall, skinny white guys, with dark hair, bonus if they have glasses the nerdier and more awkward they are the better. I don't restrict myself to this type. I accept dates from any guy that asks. Sometimes the dates go well and sometimes they don't. I generally allow for 2-3 dates before cutting it off if I'm not feeling it.

You don't need a whole type to be interested in you, just one person.

I am brown, slightly above average height for a female at 5'7" thin ( 130 lbs), and nerdy myself.

Of course you don't have to be interested in every guy who shows interest.

But a necessary component of what makes me interested in a guy is that he shows a glimmer of interest first.

I don't online date though and I suspect that is how you ended up in this situation.

Well this is sad.

Maybe your issue is that nerdy, awkward guys don't date much in general...

If you are looking for nerdy guys, go find and join a group that they are in. I feel you will have a better shot starting out from friends than as a tinder candidate.
