So what? NY Times determined last year that Reade’s story wasn’t credible. So they wouldn’t have put her on a TV show—if they had one.

It’s valid to ask why media like Fox and Ball keep pushing the Reade story, knowing what’s come out over the last week. Sure, the story has shifted from “Reade has a credible accusation” to “look how the media are handling it.”

Is it still ethical to give Reade a platform to call for Biden’s resignation, given that Reade’s whole story is falling apart?

I agree. Strange statement. Raises questions about motives. Lets say her story is 100%, even the hands-pants part. Does she honestly think one incident from decades ago should disqualify anyone from running for office? Obviously huge numbers of politicians have done worse, repeatedly so. To my MeToo friends, should these types of incidents be treated differently or the same as other bad acts, whether securities violations, fraud charges, FBI lies, etc? Let the voters decide.

She actually said that he is running on being an ethical, moral candidate and she knows the truth about him.

She says he is claiming to be something he is not - moral and ethical.

I wouldn’t even drag in the other stuff.

Just set Biden and Trump up side-by-side and compare 1 accusation against two dozen.

Even supposing Reade is telling the truth and she has an understandable personal motive, it seems hypocritical for anybody who claims sexual assault matters to totally ignore the other guy’s 25 allegations.
