Reade told The Times she filed a written complaint against Biden with the Senate personnel office. But The Times could not find any complaint. When The Times asked Reade for a copy of the complaint, she said she did not have it. Yet she maintained and provided a copy of her 1993 Senate employment records.

It is odd that Reade kept a copy of her employment records but did not keep a copy of a complaint documenting criminal conduct by a man whose improprieties changed “the trajectory” of her life. It’s equally odd The Times was unable to find a copy of the alleged Senate complaint.

This is very odd. There is no way I would have thrown the complaint away, especially if I had kept the other files. Doesn't pass the smell test. If she had just said it happened, it would be he said she said. The fact that she now has "some records" but oddly tossed others is strange.

1. At a minimum, her claims about having prepared and filed some formal contemporaneous document are false. She is lying about what she said and when she said it.

2. At a minimum, her public statements during the last two years have been bizarre, reflecting what appears to be personal instability. This does not help her credibility.

3. The exact nature of her claims has changed over the last several months alone, and she has not released any one, comprehensive, detailed, consistent accusation. She thereby has made it impossible to verify her claims.

4. The persons who were responsible for managing her in the workplace at the time of the alleged incident(s) uniformly deny her claims.

5. Her claims have been advanced with the direct participation and support of a partisan campaign operation that has every incentive to provide her with a megaphone.

Not a single thing she has said is even remotely believable, period.

It would be recognized as inappropriate. I don't think it's "sexual" harassment, though. I don't know - I just don't see any record of women (or men) finding that Biden was sexually inappropriate.

I don't buy Reade's story. I am open to being wrong. I am voting for Biden either way.

It's weird - Trump got a little bump after the Kavanaugh hearing because it made people retreat to their camp. I wonder if that will happen here, too. If people become more committed to Biden because of the feeling that our guy is being unfairly attacked. I don't know if it works that way with Dems.

It's also so weird that we now have to go through all this with Biden - and Trump has never once been held to account for the dozens of well documented, actually credible allegations against him. That guy's skin must be layered in teflon.

Someone on twitter brought up a valid point. She claims to have also been a senate staffer at the time and recalled that the dress code required women to wear pantyhose with skirts. Those of us who are old enough to remember pantyhose can verify that they were constricting enough to practically cut off circulation. It is hard to imagine that he was able to reach up her skirt and inside pantyhose far enough to penetrate. Especially while standing up in a hallway where someone could have walked by at anytime.
