Sure, coaches have holes in their schedule and will fill it by watching a game but in general they have a plan regarding the games they attend and watch.

If there is a conflict where they have two players on their list at one time on separate fields, they will generally go to the higher level game.

No, they will go to the priority recruit first.

Yes - 100%. Players on their list are ranked already.

The very top schools like to do their recruiting even before ecnl begins. Just ask Anson Dorrance how early he takes a look at players

How a player performs at 10 or 11 is often times not a reliable indicator of how they will perform at 18. In many cases the players who top out at 10 or 11 don’t even make it to 18

They can also burn out or lose interest. I've seen high school players drop soccer for baseball, tennis, and even cross country.

Means nothing. Coaches still develop relationships with the players and know who can play.

Just because they can't talk scholarships, money, etc. doesn't mean they don't get to know the person.

Yup, and how did that work out for him?

That is the whole point in waiting, but the reality is 99% of D1 college programs are not UNC either. Many are just run of the mill mid-majors fighting for scraps junior and senior year.

"Metro UTD (formerly Washington Spirit VA) is having tryouts for current players of other USSF DA’s and ECNL clubs that are interested in joining Metro UTD"

There is not a single uncommitted ECNL or DA player by July 8 or 10th to even attend the tryouts.

July 1st is the earliest date for existing DA players to move. USSDA rules.
