It is disgusting that Harvard therefore thinks all Asians have lower levels of character, integrity, personality, leadership than other races. Or another equally disgusting interpretation is that Harvard puts its thumb on the scale to admit fewer Asians.
This is why I can’t force myself to give another dollar to Harvard as an alum.
I hope we get to a content of character view of people going forward now, not just a race box.

Well, if Asians continue to be given lower personal rating scores it will be impossible to track. No more race or ethnicity identifiers!

Blum played you.

That’s not how “impossible to track” works.

That is exactly how it works.

And there will be white kids from West Virginia with lower scores who will get in. There will be black kids from the Bronx with lower scores who will get in. There will be Indian kids whose caste is “untouchable” with lower scores who will get in.

This case was never about Asian Americans. It was always about the equal protection clause that's in the constitution.

By PPs logic, whites and blacks with "perfect" stats go to the back of the line in favor of SE Asians whose parents arrived here in refugee boats. And those asians with "perfect" scores who are denied spots at top schools? They will have plenty of other options. They will be fine.

The case was never about equal protection.

If it were they would have gotten rid of legacy admits.
I certainly hope they tackle that next.

Who exactly is "they?"

It takes money and decades to make that happen. Are you taking up a collection?

You probably said the same thing about this case in the beginning. We the people will progress.

The biggest losers would be middle to upper class Blacks. They have been the biggest beneficiaries of affirmative action

💯

They don’t need it!

Obama in 2008 even said it about his kids - back when Obama was a Uniter and not a divider.

People should listen to Obama from 2004-2008….sounds so different than 2010 and later Obama

Because they aren't diverse!
Maybe take risks, be a comedian, or play drums for a rock band. Or apply to the school of social work.

Hmmm... even that narrative is incorrect. Since I am an Indian, let me share with you the names of Indian comedians - Mindy Kaling, Kal Penn, Hasan Minhaz, Zarna Garg, Russell Peters, Aziz Ansari to name just a few.

Also, taking risks, being a comedian, playing drums for a rock band and applying to the school of social work - is the kool-aid that people in power pour down the gullets of poors and URMs. Sorry, I will pass. My kids will play the tabla/sitar and also double major in Physics/Economics. That is the way we roll!

And.....? Your sons are still incels whose only hope of getting wives is through arranged marriages . Graduating in economics/physics guarantees nothing . Don't believe me ? Ask all the Indians being let go by tech firms in their multiple rounds of layoffs. Some of them are on work visas and have to find jobs within 69 days or leave the country or face deportations. Now , I hear some are roaming the country like stray cats in search of food .

“They” are white conservatives who have abused the system to obtain outsized power to force their unpopular beliefs on everyone else. They don’t want obstacles like AA to affect their white, male kids. They DGAF about minorities or women. And they will absolutely not touch legacy.

Fools.

So foolish. “They” have spent decades abusing our systems to gain outsized power. “They” DGAF about minorities or women. Or “the people”.

America ha been lagging behind the world for some time now. Hopefully, now thing will become better in America again. I do not want third world countries to surpass America.

Here is the POV I am talking about.

I’m opposed to legacy, also. But the Constitution does not address legacy as it does race, so Congress would be the “they” who needs to tackle it.
