Spare

Bower was interviewed and gave context to the specious claim posted multiple times here about a William affair, and explains some of the apparent disgust towards Meghan and Harry. Minute 35. Mods: this is all literally about public, published book leaks and may be of interest to people actually discussing Spare, and not each other.

There is one mod and he's likely to delete this entire thread soon.

I doubt 99% of people posting here have any intention of buying it to support someone's fancy lifestyle. You can help an actual homeless eat a meal with that money.

Buying a memoir = supporting someone's fancy lifestyle . I'm loving the desperation . Too late .

People are often interested in reading celebrity gossip on internet but most aren't interested enough to read a book about or by them.

I absolutely will not but it, but will be happy to borrow it from the library next year if I remember it. It will still be trashy then. I just can’t give them a dollar.

Why would you borrow it from a library? So you're interested ,arent you ? one more thing : Your taxes pay for the library , so YOU are paying for it .

This is the dumbest argument on this thread yet. Congratulations.

Add rabid continent of Africa defender to that list.

Add impossibly ignorant maga-esque poster to the list. Reacting angrily because they're being called out on their stereotypical ignorance. From time to time turn on the national geographic, discovery Channel where you might learn a thing or two .

Calm down and go scroll through your Peace Corps Facebook photo album.

Thanks for admitting that you're ignorant. Next time refrain from venturing into topics you know nothing about . This isn't a bake sale .

The personality of the person writing the above response is the reason for so many divorces in the DC area. What an absolute ass.

Like telling the world about penis frostbite?

He told a story about telling his dad a story. And that his dad found the story amusing. His dad King Charles who is also famous for being recording saying he would like to be a tampon for his affair partner (aka Queen Camilla). This is not really dragging the monarchy down from its exalted state.

You got the story wrong. Charles never wished he was camilla's tampon. He said knowing his luck he would come back as her tampon. Big difference.

Charles-splaining much ?

He's credible in your eyes because he says what you want to hear.

What he definitely doesn’t want to do any more is live thinking, ‘What does it look like from a public relations angle?’ He’s not thinking ,‘How will I come across?’ He’s thinking, ‘F*** this, I’ve lived a life for so long where I’ve been controlled for so long’. People need to take a step back and ask why he has done it. Many will be asking if he’s genuinely OK. We know he isn’t. He’s damaged and one way to deal with it is to write a book.”

Yes, let's all click on the ".vn" link. No thank you.

Here is the original link but it is behind a paywall, thus the archive link I posted originally.

If that was true, he wouldn’t get so angry about the slightest bit of negative coverage. For someone who doesn’t care what things look like, he’s terribly invested in painting a picture of himself he insists is true.

He is saying things as he has written them: publicly, not anonymously, under his own name, and willingly speaking without fear of being attacked or sued. None of that is analogous to you tilting at windmills on a gossip board, do you not understand that?

I don't see why they would need to. Everyone is doing the work for them. Seems like they are the winners in this.

I agree. The coverage has been exceedingly negative in all published sources - read the comments with each excerpt. The Taliban revelation has been regarded with serious alarm in multiple broadsheets.

I hope we can actually talk about the book and actual, linkable coverage of same and just report the posts attacking those who are putting in relevant comments. The coverage has been universally unflattering to Harry, so some posters who can’t accept that have been attacking. It’s pathetic and weird.

You're trying way too hard to come across as objective but you're not. Also, books are meant to be sold—negative coverage or not—and, this one is on its way to best seller status .

I wonder if Harry will put out is own statement distancing himself from this disaster saying things were taken out of context, misrepresented, unclear, etc. Will he take full responsibility or try to shift blame?

Normal people don’t go around at everyone turn explaining incidents with others as “they are jealous.” No one talks like that. Apparently Kate was jealous of Megan. Charles was jealous of Megan. And now turns out his military supervisor was jealous of him too.

No mature person talks like this.
