Thread about Pyle / Racism?

Was the thread about Pyle and covert/overt racism a troll? Not true?

I don't know because I just deleted it immediately once I saw the topic. I simply can't handle any additional threads about how badly racism is affecting white people.

Sorry Jeff, but that makes you a racist.

LOL, are you a white person who is a victim of racism?

Thank you, Jeff. This stuff should not get any oxygen; it just feeds people’s ridiculous sense of grievance. I really appreciate your clarity and willingness to draw these lines.

So you think someone has to be a victim of racism to oppose racism? That's a bold take Jeff.

I think you boldly avoided answering the question. I am sorry that the institutional racism of DCUM is oppressing white people. Maybe you can find a separate but equal forum?

Thank you for confirming that you think being a direct victim of racism is required to be against racism. As I said, that's a weird take.

And it's pretty clear that DCUM opposes diversity of ideas. There are plenty of POC who see CRT for the toxic, racist garbage it is. Check out John McWhorter for some insight. Most moderate Democrats like me also oppose it. Many of my progressive friends also oppose it. So it seems that the people who support it are a very narrow band of super-progressives. And don't you see the irony in what you wrote last? Proponents of CRT/DEI are the ones holding separate forums for different races, not classic liberals who would never.

I never said such a thing let alone confirmed it. That is purely a figment of your imagination. What I did do is ask you a pretty simple question which you have twice avoided answering. I wonder what is difficult about this question?

You actually have no understanding of CRT which is one reason I have no interest in seeing you spew misinformation. Whatever POC who oppose CRT are welcome to speak for themselves. They certainly don't need a butt hurt white person such as yourself speaking on their behalf.

This white person feels perfectly welcome on DCUM. I’m pretty sure Jeff just isn’t interested in ignorant racists.

Also, “classic liberals,” LOL. You can’t even get your bullsh*t buzzwords right.

Why? If there’s discussion about how racism affects black people, then there should be allowed a discussion on how racism hurts white people. As an example, Biden’s attempt to prioritize black-owned businesses for recovery funds does indeed hurt white-owned businesses, many of whom just barely made it through the pandemic. A discussion on giving benefits to people based on skin color, and denying it to others based on skin color, should be allowed regardless if there disk goes against blacks or against whites.

It isn’t racism against white people. It’s an effort to address the structural racism that has always and continues to hurt Black people in American society.

There were plenty of programs available to help white-owned businesses. The program to which you are referring was to rectify past discrimination. At any rate, it has nothing to do with schools. Maybe stick to discussions about which you have a clue?

FTFY.

Also, “classic liberals,” LOL. You can’t even get your bullsh*t buzzwords right.

And "classic liberal" is a thing. This was the definition of liberal before the wokes got to it and made it the opposite. Classic denotes original opposed to new and woke.

liberal
1. willing to respect or accept behavior or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas.
2. relating to or denoting a political and social philosophy that promotes individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise.

Of course you did. It was in the very question you asked. If you didn't believe that being a direct victim of racism is required to be against racism you would not have asked the question. But yes Jeff, we have all been the victims of racism. But lets pretend for a moment that I haven't been a victim of racism. What then?

CRT is looking at everything through a racial lens and then categorizing it as oppressed or oppressor...which is insane.

And OK. https://johnmcwhorter.substack.com/p/todays-elect-left-is-as-anti-science (just FYI, "the elect" is JM's pet name for wokes)
