Israel is lost . Most Gen Z in the West have Muslim friends who were born and grew up here since their parents had to you know emigrate.

How stupid can one country be to not realize the tides were always shifting to Palestinian sympathy even during the last Gaza war in 2014? Remember the flotilla and divest from Israel campaigns ?

They should’ve seen the left’s pro Palestinian slant burgeoning years and years ago

Man, you are profoundly out of touch.

I’m not profoundly out of touch. I’m profoundly anxious.

This situation is getting scarier and scarier by the minute and is a powder keg.

Putin would love nothing more than to see the West divide over Israel vs Palestine and that’s what is likely to happen since both our president and Israel’s keep making dumb decisions that are helping Putin and Hamas

Your anxiety is telling you if Israel is destroyed, the terrorism stops. Unfortunately for all who believe this, you will get a huge dose of reality

What? I am pro-Israel surviving.

Israeli and Zionist arrogance and tunnel vision has not helped Israel. Pay attention to the room. It’s changed . You can keep saying most America is overwhelmingly pro Israel but from my vantage point that’s not true.

Americans are notoriously wishy washy and go with the wind and Israel being popular among Americans is only true among boomers and those over 35.

Academia is very left wing now. All across the country, there were pro Palestinian rallies this week even in Texas and harassment of Jewish students. I know some that have withdrawn

Pay attention . This is a very dangerous situation

I agree that academia is very left wing. But, I also think that the pro-Palestinian groups are more vocal, but not the majority.
I do blame our education system for the pitiful schooling our youth has received WRT Israel and the Middle East.
When we have our youth actually supporting terrorists with their rhetoric, our education system has failed.

The general moral rot in many parts of higher ed is now evident to those who once could not see.

This is a profound disappointment. This is the behavior I would expect from President Trump. How can he look Palestinian-Americans in the face between this and that poor murdered child and claim he deserves their votes??

It's too bad Hamas is holding the Palestinian Americans hostage. In the videos, they look OK--all sitting at tables and chairs under awnings. I hope the Israeli American hostages also have comfort.

Just throw up one photo of an infant without it's head due to Hamas terrorists, and most Americans will be for plowing $ into the IDF.

I know someone who went to the demonstration at the Capitol. It was organized by Jewish Voices for Peace.

The State Department warns American citizens to not travel to Gaza and explicitly states that the US government cannot provide services to them in Gaza. I feel terribly for Palestinian Americans who have family in Gaza who cannot leave, and understand that the only way to see them is to travel to Gaza. On the other hand, people need to take responsibility for their own actions; they took trip to, or chose to live in, Gaza knowing the risk and warnings to have no expectations of USG help to leave.

Gaza – Do Not Travel

Do not travel due to terrorism, civil unrest, and armed conflict.

The U.S. government is unable to provide routine or emergency services to U.S. citizens in Gaza as U.S. government employees are prohibited from traveling there. Hamas, a U.S. government-designated foreign terrorist organization, controls the security infrastructure in Gaza. The security environment within Gaza and on its borders is dangerous and volatile. Sporadic mortar or rocket fire and corresponding Israeli military responses may occur at any time. During periods of unrest or armed conflict, the crossings between Gaza with Israel and Egypt may be closed.

If you decide to travel to Gaza:

Be prepared for an indefinite stay as the crossings between Gaza with Israel and Egypt can close without advance notice and for long periods during times of unrest and armed conflict.

Have a plan for entering and departing Gaza that does not rely on U.S. government assistance.

You mean the child killed by the pro-Israel support in the US? What was he 6 or 7? The mother could not go to the funeral because of her injuries. This was in the US.

The ADL has rightly pointed to its grave concerns with that entity.

They are more pro-Palestine than pro-Israel.
Just because you have "Jewish" in the title of your group, doesn't mean it's true.
Kind of like "Antifa." They are very much the fascists despite their name.

Every American citizen still in Israel made an explicit decision to remain there after a brutal terrorist attack— what’s their personal responsibility for their own actions?

There is a difference between places where the USG simply cannot reach, such as countries like North Korea, and places we are choosing not to reach such as Gaza. It is compounded by the fact that we are actively arming the people who— by their own admission — are bombing the areas they told American citizens to flee.

We are complicit in endangering American citizens and wherever you stand on this conflict that should disgust you.
