I like this article assessing the cons of the current top 4. I would add Klobuchar's negative polling with black voters.

I saw Michelle Lujan Grisham yesterday and just based on her ability to communicate during the interview, I'd take her over Whitmer... easily.
There is a gravitas and calmness and complexity that Grisham gives out. Whitmer makes we nervous that she is unsure and too careful. Biden/Grisham 2020. Please. |
I really like Grisham. Hope Joe has her on his podcast soon, so we can get a better sense of their chemistry. |
Can you share who the interview was with? |
Well, Whitmer seems dumb. |
Certainly not dumb, look at her sharp replies to opponents. But doesn't have Grisham's congressional experience. National experience makes a big difference. |

The list should be very short.
Biden needs someone that Bernie Sanders' supporters will go out and vote for. Elizabeth Warren should be high on the list. Any other younger candidates from Bernie's camp? |
This is an older interview (3/8/20) but still shows how strong she is politically. She's very business-like, but still charismatic. She knows her talking points, she's a good discussion partner maintaining her part of the dialog. She also answers the questions that are pushed to her, unlike too many we say in the democratic nomination debates. There, most of the speakers would ignore the question and just pull up one of their rehearsed talking points. She definitely looks and talks like an actual executive leader. She would make a fine VPOTUS and POTUS. |
The main problem with Lujan is that by comparison Biden would sound and look dumb. He will pick a mediocre VP candidate. Mark my words. |
The only governor, senator, or representative who is (a) eligible, (b) female, and (c) endorsed Bernie is Rashida Tlaib. So, no. |
I'm not convinced of that. He comes across as pretty humble these days, and expressly stated he would follow Obama's advice to pick something who offsets his weakness. I'm really impressed by the way Grisham handles herself in the video. Thanks for posting, PP! |

| Pick Hogan. Win/Win |
| Hogan wont do it because of his health unfortunately |
+1 It would be the ticket of the two unwell-looking white men. Nope. |
