Confirmed where? Honestly people, cite your sources.

Inside source. Just trust me.

Thank me later.

I was a Warren supporter and this seems too good to be true. Thanks for the split second of hope, but I’ll wait for an announcement.

It won't be Warren if the GOP senator would replace her. Why cede potential control of the Senate at this juncture?

I mean, it would be lovely, but I’ve been voting Democratic for twenty years.

Dems will have a big enough cushion. I don’t even know what the appointment rules are in that state.

A big enough cushion? There's less than zero cushion!

I was hoping for Amy for VP, but I think this pairing could work. I did not think she would be interested in VP position....when will it be announced???

She was on Maddow last Thursday (I think? I don’t have cable and never watch it) and gave an unequivocal “yes” when asked if she’d like to be Biden’s VP. So she’s definitely interested, and so is Stacey Adams. https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/stacey-abrams-being-vice-president-100000785.html I wonder how that will work out after the slapdown she gave the Biden campaign in 2019.

Yeah we just did this when Ted Kennedy died. The governor appoints someone, who can be a Republican even though the vacant seat was a Democrat (I don’t understand why the Democratic majority in the state legislature doesn’t change this but that’s how it is) until a special election. And then the Republican won that special election. The Democrats had a huge cushion after the 2008 elections and this still effed things up. They’ll be lucky to take the Senate at all at this point - 50-50 odds to make up a whole bunch of seats (2014 was a banner GOP Senate year.)

Things aren’t guaranteed, of course, but I think the mood of the country is a smidge different than it was in 2010.

Isn't Stacey Adams currently unemployed?

Warren makes sense due to current economic situation. She'll also get the first female potus buzz as most people don't see Biden finishing his first term.

She would make it much, much worse. Scary worse. She's never run anything. Plans on paper mean nothing.

She is currently working for a political organization that she founded last year. From Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stacey_Abrams#After_the_gubernatorial_election
On August 17, 2019, Abrams announced the founding of Fair Fight 2020,[38] an organization that will assist Democrats financially and technically to build voter protection teams in 20 states.[39] Abrams is Fair Fight Action 2020's chair.[40] Billionaire and former Republican Mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg, contributed $5 million, 1/3 of the organization's initial budget, shortly after announcing his run for the 2020 Democratic Party presidential nomination. [41] [42] On a recent appearance on ABC’s The View, Abrams defended Bloomberg’s spending, saying: “Every person is allowed to run and should run the race that they think they should run, and Mike Bloomberg has chosen to use his finances. Other people are using their dog, their charisma, their whatever.”[43]
