That House came out in favor of the impeachment inquiry before the polling was in favor. I think you mean the Senate. |
I think PP doesn't know there is a difference. |
No, I mean the house. They are working in tandem with media to try to influence the public. |
So Trump supporters *really are* this stupid?! It's not an act??? |
Actually, PP is not wrong. Impeachment is not supposed to be a partisan thing. It wasn't designed to relitigate the previous election. |
So, as I said - Trump voters really are this stupid |
Pompeo was educated at West Point and Harvard. He is supposedly among the best of the best in this country. He served honorably in the Congress, eventhough I don't agree with all of his policy stances, but let's look at his involvement here:
- He removed a career expert diplomat/ambassador to Ukraine -He directed a career staffer, Volker, to introduce Rudy to Ukrainians to find the dirt; - He was in on the shakedown call and not only failed to report it, but was part of the cabal that illegally installed it on the NSC server; -He lied by omission on national television, and now -He is blatantly obstructing justice. This is an incredibly sad result for someone who literally had a chance at becoming a national leader in the Senate or President one day. |
Plenty of evil meathead sheep whatever you want to call them manage to get in to and graduate from the finest schools in the world. Handling books doesn't mean you can handle life when it gets complicated. |
If you honestly think that's what's happening there is no hope for you. |
If Volker was just "doing his job," then why did the whistle blower implicate Volker in possible misconduct, which was obviously the only reason Volker was included in the complaint? The whistleblower says: "On 26 July, a day after the call, U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker visited Kyiv and met with President Zelenskyy and a variety of Ukrainian political figures. Ambassador Volker was accompanied in his meetings by U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland. Based on multiple readouts of these meetings recounted to me by various U.S. officials, Ambassadors Volker and Sondland reportedly provided advice to the Ukrainian leadership about how to “navigate” the demands that the President had made of Mr. Zelenskyy." This is at best, third or fourth hand hearsay. What is a "readout" of a meeting? Notes? A transcript? The Whistleblower is saying some unidentified person looked at "readouts" and then relayed an account of those "readouts" to whistleblower, and based on this third or fourth hand hearsay, Volker supposedly did something that the whistleblower didn't like. Most likely whistleblower has some personal axe to grind with both Volker and Sondland. If not, why does whistleblower include their names, yet leaves out the names of the witnesses who supposedly provided whistleblower with information from "multiple readouts"? Sounds like the whistleblower is using this as an opportunity to try to settle some old scores/bureaucratic turf fighting disputes. This will all end when Volker testifies on Thursday. Shortest. Scandal. Ever. |
You think you can analyze this situation when you a) don’t know what a readout is; and b) don’t know the difference between a deposition and testimony. OK. |
Implicate is a strong word. I think a reasonable person would understand that Volker was the one with contacts in Ukraine and was asked/ordered to help Rudy. It will be important to know when this ask happened and by whom, and what, if any, follow up action he or others at the State Department had. Hint: if it turns out Pompeo directly or indirectly made the ask, that will not bode well for the Secretary. |
I think they are all going to prison. |
Volker has legal counsel. If he did anything which could remotely result in him going to prison, or even possibly being subject to a criminal prosecution--since we know the democrats will attack anyone and everyone if they think it will further their narrative--he would not willingly appear to testify, he would fight it, or take the 5th Amendment.
Volker appears eager to testify. Do you think that would be happening if his contacts with Ukraine weren't as clean as a whistle? |
