It’s also interesting she took an Uber. Maybe the brother in law and sister wanted to make sure she didn’t drive her own car that night. He wanted to drop her off that night so there would be justified reason for his dna to be on the front porch and steps. He enters, disables cameras, walks her up to her room, then who knows what happens from there.

Seniors are regularly encouraged to take ubers, particularly on DCUM.

The first 20 minutes is news, but they report on it quickly and move on, they don’t do commentary like morning Joe or anything and don’t share their opinions. Then they move onto light banter, weather, a lot of pop culture and feel good human interest stories, and basically repeat the same news stories at the 8 o’clock hour. I doubt Trump has a lot of angst about Savannah. I don’t recall him insulting her like other female journalists.

I don’t know Nancy Guthrie’s political views, but she is clearly very much a woman of faith and that alone would give Trump impetus to be on the side of well wishing and appearing to put his hand on scale in terms of all federal resources directed to the case - even though they already were on the case, because FBI has jurisdiction over any suspected kidnapping by federal statute.

It’s easy positive points for Trump in a moment where he is racking up so much negative publicity that he really needs to balance things. He doesn’t give a crap about whether Nancy Guthrie lives or dies, it’s all a political calculus to him.

A lot of seniors don’t drive when it’s dark. Your vision changes as you age and for many, it’s not easy to see at night, so I don’t see this as some glaring red flag either.

Trump is inserting himself where he is likely to do considerable harm by announcing that there are clues. He should leave the investigation and dissemination of information to the professional law enforcement enforcement officers investigating the case.
