Please. Previous poster is correct. SJC 27 class is comparatively very weak. Program needs to bolster it with surrounding classes.

What are people using to measure the strength of the 27 class across the IAC/WCAC? Freshmen contributors? Spots on top 3 clubs?
According to IL recruiting database:
Landon (3 NL, 1 DCE), Prep (2 NL, 1 ML, 1 DCE), and SJC (1 NL, 3 ML) each have 4 players in 27 class. Bullis is next with 3 (1 NL, 2 DCE), and Gonzaga has 2 (ML).

The only 27 from a local club to make the IL ID experience team is from a Va Public.

Flint Hill I think is going to shock everyone this year. Calling it now.

Spots on top clubs is the only way to measure at this point. And NL and ML are far superior to DCE in the 27 class.

SJC has no less than 7 players combined from NL and ML 27 teams - maybe more. It's really not even close who has the best 27 class.

we will see. I know the 27s at SJC wont be outworked.

Hard to predict which area program has the strongest 2027 class when it's all said and done. The only 2027 who stood out last year in the games I watched, was the Heights attackman.

As its been witnessed before, some kids peak in the early years, some kids benefit from the age advantage, and some have the physical advantage. Some kids get entirely burnt out and lose the drive to keep working. And there are always 1- 3 kids who never stop working hard and blossom going into their senior season.

Look for example at GP 2024 class last spring. How many kids on GP's roster turned 19 last fall / winter or spring. I won't name names, but a few of their players dominated when they were freshmen and sophomores. The physical advantage begins to fade less as juniors and certainly as senior year begins.

I've always thought Bellistri at Bullis gets the best out of his player talent and does a great job of developing kids from the time they enter Bullis to the time they graduate.

You really glazing the little attackman from the Heights? He's not even top 5 middie on his club squad. Being the best at a school like the Heights where he's allowed to play hero ball every single possession is comparing apples to oranges when it comes to GP, Bullis, GZ, SJC and Landon.

Inside Lacrosse is way behind on rosters and much of that is self-submitted. The public kid is very good. I hope he has good grades.
SJC '27 has far and away the most club players in the area and their JV was undefeated without a close game and about 4 of them got good reps during blowout varsity wins last year. None will start
Landon only had 1 '27 make varsity and the jv was very competitive and probably 8 starters from area clubs. Sounds good but only 3/4 will have a small impact on varsity this year. None will start
STA actually has 5 very good 27's and the best area club goalie in the class. All 5 could start this year.
Bullis has about the same and falls off very quickly after the top 5. 1 will start
Gonzaga's JV was way down in the WCAC and only a few who made the large varsity squad. Maybe 1 starts
GP had 4(?) 27's make varsity but that was at the expense of a 3 win JV team. Again, very thin and so thin 3 should start.
3 good players for the Heights but that's it.
I think GC's JV was #2 in the WCAC and has 27's who will make an impact on varsity this year.
PVI - zippy.
Episcopal - zippy
SSSAS - zippy
DM - maybe a couple

Wow. A rare appearance from a Husky booster. Bold call. What results would you consider shocking?

If your predictions on starters are accurate, that is some impressive local lax knowledge.

With lacrosse essentially being only 2 conferences and 3 clubs, it’s pretty easy to predict if you pay attention.

Edit: those bottom teams will probably have lots of’27’s getting good time. They just won’t have any impact on the team’s performance.

you are forgetting that on that particular club squad, ability and playing time do not always correlate.
