So we know he left Bridgerton, but I just heard he's the chosen one for the James Bond film series!
If that's true no wonder he left.
|
| If he gets the Bond gig - good for him - but I prefer Idris Elba. I just don't find him appealing at all. Smoldering and sexy? Sure. But he lacks a charisma that I think Bond requires. I haven't seen him in anything other than SNL and, again, I was underwhelmed. |
| He and Idris Elba are both smokin' hot. |
| I thought he was gay when I saw him in Bridgerton. A lot of British actors I like are actually gay, so I google when I start a new show. He’s not, fwiw. But he isn’t very masculine. He’s more pretty. |
Totally agree. |
|
I don't get the appeal. Yes, he is attractive, but people are talking about him like he is the hottest male actor ever.
If people weren't homebound watching soft porn Bridgerton, I don't think he would be so appealing to the masses. I also don't think he can act that well. But I also couldn't watch Bridgerton. |
Idris is too old. James Bond leads go for 5-6 films at the minimum. Tom Cruise started the Mission Impossible franchise when he was only 33 - the same age as Rege. He's 58 now and finishing Mission Impossible 7. |

His nose is bulbous, not angular and strong.
His lips are feminine. He can’t act. |
The James Bond former actors all seem to have followed a transition from rough normal guy next door to more suave looking prettyish-handsome. Except for Daniel Craig - who looks like they found at the back of a Irish biker bar and asked his Uncle 'which of your nephews breaks the most kneecaps?' |
|
He might be gay. Usually when an actor is so private about relationships that he isn’t ever linked to anyone and won’t confirm or deny, they are gay. Think: Sam Heughan.
|
I got the same vibe. He’s good looking but not the right fit for James Bond. Idris Elba on the other hand would be perfect for the role. |
LOL. My vote is still for Idris Elba. Remember when they could t get Pierce Brosnan? |
Why is that an issue though? A lot of Hollywood's leading men, past and present, and some who have been married to women a long time (*cough* Travolta *end cough*) are. |
| I think this is more like a bash thread lol! Fwiw I think he would be a much better fit for Bond than Idris. Idris’ window probably closed 3-5 years ago. He doesn’t smolder know screen the way RJP does and that’s really all that’s needed for a suitable bond. Bond is always dashing and RJP embodies dashing. |
Sorry I don't want to see a 62-year-old Idris filming the 2nd James Bond film and fondling a 24-year-old. |
