Read to the end.

Whenever actors say they don’t like labels (gay or straight) and don’t say who they are dating, they’re gay.

Sam Heughan is the same way. He had a beard for a while (a no name “actress”) who attended some public events with them. She lived in the US while he’s always lived in the UK. And he frequently travels with another actor. Before he got famous, he was out (but nobody knew who he was; he was just a theater actor). His people scrubbed his internet presence to remove info on his boyfriends once outlander started.

Rege-Jean attended red carpets with a female actress who also looks gay. Everything else online says he’s single, private, and shuns labels.

You don't even hear the racism when you speak, do you?

I skipped all other responses praying someone caught this!

Um, he’s African American. These poor guys... Bulbous noses and full lips also befall Denzel, Blair Underwood, Shemar Moore, idris Elba, Michael B Jordan, Michael Early, will smith, etc.

Not racist.

I think these actors are more masculine/more attractive because of their facial features:

Idris
Denzel
Shemar
Chadwick (RIP)
Heck, even Marlon Wayans.

Lenny Kravitz is hot, too. Even though he’s not as classically masculine as the others, I never questioned his sexuality.

Pretty much all of those men have wideset noses, just like Rege. They also don't have pencil thin lips. Saying that James Bond needs to have an "angular" ie. White nose, and that the thicker lips of a black man is "feminine" is racist, whether you realize it or not. You have a eurocentric definition of masculine attractiveness, and now you're reaching to find Black men that fit it because you were called out.

I’m not a Bond poster. I’ve never watched a Bond movie.

I think he looks gay. I don’t think he looks masculine. It has nothing to do with a wide set nose; his nose is very bulbous like Squidward. His face overall is pretty. His lips are feminine looking. You know who else has feminine lips? That white actor on Scrubs (big hawk nose and lady lips).

The other black actors I listed don’t look feminine at all.

Thinking that Rege-Jean looks feminine is not racist...especially when I’ve listed multiple black actors who I think are hot.

You didn't say he looked feminine. You called his widest nose bulbous and made some ridiculous claim that James bond has to have an angular nose.

^^ sorry. I caught my mistake. .... he is not African American

There’s a difference between big lips and feminine lips. I said feminine. He looks feminine to me. He walks feminine, too.

I’ve never thought that about any of the other black actors I listed.

Lots of British actors speak posh, but it’s different for RJ. His facial features are quite pretty.

You’re confused. Or perhaps you are conflating posts.

I said he has a bulbous nose and feminine lips.

I never said anything about Bond. Like I said, I’m not a bond fan. Couldn’t care less who plays him. Wouldn’t be surprised if they do go with a black actor.

This is such a weird thrread. It seems like there one or more posters that seem to be convinced he is gay and therefore is not hot. I don’t really care who he sleeps with in his private life. The idea that gay and hot are mutually exclusive is just insane!

Read to the end.

Whenever actors say they don’t like labels (gay or straight) and don’t say who they are dating, they’re gay.

His people scrubbed his internet presence to remove info on his boyfriends once outlander started.

Rege-Jean attended red carpets with a female actress who also looks gay. Everything else online says he’s single, private, and shuns labels.

Why is this important to you?

I think there is one poster who is obsessed with outing male stars as gay, particularly Sam Heughan, but others too. I've noticed just in casual reading of these forums because it is so oddly specific and get shoehorned into a variety of posts.

Give it up, poster, no one cares!

He doesn’t smolder know screen the way RJP does and that’s really all that’s needed for a suitable bond. Bond is always dashing and RJP embodies dashing.

Yea..it’s a bash thread. Why though, because he not going to be season 2?

OP here. I actually like Rege and am delighted he (might be) Bond. IDK what everyone's problem is since the Bridgerton thread loves him.

+1. I couldn't really get into Bridgerton but he is hot and charismatic as hell. He'll make a terrific Bond.

Idris could've done it 20 years ago but he's too old now. Not a fan of old Bonds. The last of the Roger Moore films were just pathetic, visually-speaking. Not that any of the Bond stuff is truly believable but it's really hard to suspend disbelief when the actor looks like he's 60 plus.

Who cares? If he can act and exude charisma, which he can and does, then he's sufficiently attractive for Bond. Plenty of gay guys have played straight men before, and vice versa.

Disagree.

Some think he looks feminine. Some people don’t go for feminine looking men.

Plenty of gay men are super hot. They don’t look feminine.

What’s the obsession with Bond? Who cares if he plays Bond or not? Is this thread about the actor or about the actor playing Bond?
