100% Correct. Imagine if the DMV had one dominant club where the best girls always went...

PDA sucks up NYC, and Northern Jersey. Also many players even drive from Connecticut and NW PA. It’s player pool is more than any club in our are can imagine.

Also should mention the top 2008 girl moved to PDA top team last year. I would say that is a compliment to Bethesda.

Not Kevin or any coach, but Bethesda 05s scored. And PDA is that good. So far this year:

PDA 07s have scored 60 goals and conceded 4 in 11 games. Last ECNL season they scored 50 and conceded 4. Bethesda 07 scored 2 of those 4.

PDA 06s scored 11 and conceded 0. Last ECNL season they scored 35 and conceded 4. Bethesda 06 scored 3 of those 4.

PDA 05s scored 19 and conceded 2. Bethesda scored 1 of those 2.

I could go on, but you get the point. PDA is dominant.

Yet most bsc teams won their divisions at Jeff cup, and will most likely finish close in standings at end of ecnl season.

PDA is that good.

Not sure if these are parents or coaches sounding off here, but the impression is BSC didn’t expect to win any of those games. Lol. Good luck with getting to the playoffs.

Also, Bethesda has not been able to complete many games due to Montgomery County's excessive restrictions. Hard to make playoffs when you can't play games.

Loudoun 08s recently lost to Bethesda 08s at Jeff Cup. Mclean 08s are even worse. Toss up between Bethesda and Mclean 07s. The 05s are better than McLean. 04s would not make the playoffs if in Mid Atlantic. Nobody cares about Composite.

Now if you are a GA parent, well, you're a GA parent and have no future unless you play for FCV. If you're outside of GA, you really shouldn't even posting on this matter.

Bethesda will be just fine. Granted, there is a lot of animosity against a couple of select coaches. But as long as they win, which they generally will, then they will be fine. Let’s see what happens over the next 3 months. There’s a ton of soccer to play.

The 06s will win and are national title level. The 05s will do well.; maybe playoff success, I expect the 04s to be about even. 03s below average. 07s well below average. 08s well below average but it is hard to gauge this age group. Just my guesses from a fairly well informed bsc parent. It is all age group dependent and depends on the skill of the kids not coaches

And this is exactly the problem. BSC teams at the older ages are vey strong 903 excepted and before KL) The 07s are not great now but maybe will improve same thing for the 08s. Where or what age are you judging success? To be fair the 06 team is a different type of team. But maybe the 07s and 08s will catch up

This isnt a bsc specific issue. There is not one dominant club in the area for girls hence teams will vary widely by year. Bsc 06s great, 07s not. Fine but you can plug in diiferent clubs and age groups into that previous sentence and it is the same across the region. This board sometimes exists largely for parents to tell each other how great their club is and how awful others are. Thats because you get varying talent year by year. Ecnl starts at u13. Five years of it. I say bsc has the best 06 team in the area. They dont at other age groups. You know what, no other club has more than one or two of the best teams in the dmv over these 5 ecnl years either.

Please enlighten me then Mclean or GA genius! PDA 06s are also rated the #1 team in the United States. Bethesda tied them. I don't see any thing I posted as being wrong. Some things may be a an assumption but not off-base.

I am not a BSC parent nor fan of the club but recognize that a draw or one goal loss against PDA is not the end of the world especially when PDA has been riding roughshod over other strong opponents. The only other team to score more than a goal against PDA 05 in the last 24 months is Barcelona's development team. Get serious people. PDA, Solar, SoCal Blues, San Diego Surf, Eclipse, Tophat, etc., are stronger clubs. Most ECNL/GA conferences have a dominant team. Solar's U18/19 team has basically outscored its opponents 100 to 2 against strong competition. If this area could consolidate several clubs under one roof, you would see the type of dominance demonstrated by PDA.
