The Bethesda goal of the week is a 2013 team scoring on a header. Call me wrong but I thought our kids weren't allowed to header until U12?

They must develop their TBI resilience better down in MOCO

Haha. They are playing a year up.

Anytime we've played a year up they've still enforced the header rule

Run from Bethesda girls ECNL program. Teams are horrible at many age groups. The old days of Bethesda getting girls into college are long gone. It ended with the 2006 team.

2007, 2008 and 2009 won’t have many D1 players.

Reading this forum is often like trying to read the nonsense my ignorant cousin sends me saying it’s “news” and it’s some rando on YouTube in a gaming chair in his basement. People just say whatever the F they want and declare it truth.

Ah so you are gaslit that they just ran a fundraiser where 100% of the proceeds went to their scholarship fund to help players who are in need of financial aid to play club soccer (not saying it’s right or wrong. This is the system).

Well done.

DP. I don’t think you know what “gaslit” means. I think BSC does a decent job fundraising, but golf tournaments are a ridiculously exclusionary way to raise money. And of course there are politics that come into play when all these coaches who grew up rich play golf with the parents who grew up rich.

2010, 2011, and 2012 all top 25 teams nationally.

The 2012s are phenomenal in spite of their coach. Those girls all work extraordinarily hard to improve seven days a week

You may not approve, but that team turned it around this season because of the coach. At least that’s what the parents think.

Thank you—exactly. What makes it more cringey is that’s it’s for the “poor.” Players who already know the wealth difference since they are not from Bethesda, Chevy Chase or Potomac. Now shift to the dads who do go (let’s face it, it’s a sausage party), who only do so to butter up with the leadership so their average kid can stay on the top team.

It’s the system, right? The same system that gaslit you into shrugging your shoulders??

Bethesda Soccer Plans:

Use Bio-banded players who check no legit boxes for playing down so parents can feel better about not losing as badly to the top teams

The 06 team is/was loaded with great players and there are plenty of youngsters coming up behind them to carry the torch.

Not a fan of BSC but comment is more than uninformed, probably just a troll. The bell curve will swing back up after 2009 so trolls have no fear

Bethesda has to be the most toxic club I've ever seen. Lots of marketing, but if you are on anything other than their 1 team you are just a revenue stream to them. Promotions half the time are not based on merit but rather based on who you know. Lots of back channel communication that you will never be aware of. They literally have a guy who has never touched a ball in his life coaching the U10 Pre-ECNL team next season. JH is a social engineer and a fraud.
