Nothing from American or JetBlue for existing reservations that were purchased more than a couple weeks ago.

American has changed their policy now.

They seem to be just rolling this out in their websites but it is widely reported. Scroll down on these press releases for American. http://news.aa.com/news/news-details/2020/American-Airlines-Update-on-China-Flights-OPS-DIS/default.aspx

Delta, United, American broaden change fee waivers amid coronavirus concerns

The waivers announced Monday and Tuesday covers flights to all of the airlines' destinations for passengers with tickets for travel through April 30 that were purchased before early March.

Anyone able to report on their success in using cancel for any reason travel insurance to cancel a trip due to concerns over coronavirus? We are contemplating pulling the plug on our trip to the Galapagos scheduled for memorial day weekend. Doesn't seem like a good time to be getting on a ship.

Not sure why everyone is so attached to one trip anyway.

This. Is. How. It. Spreads.

But unless they force people to stop traveling, those who do travel will just bring it back to the rest of us. You’ll be waiting forever if the think the entire US is just going to suddenly comply.

Because we are children and very few of us are willing to make even the smallest compromise in the name of the common good. Not traveling would help to slow it down and dissipate the effect on the health care system. Let's hope your kid doesn't break their leg or get in accident whilst all this is going on.

We need the government to step it all up. Airlines and hotels are not reimbursing people. I paid $6,000 for an apartment in Aspen to go skiing next week, I booked it through VRBO and am not going to get anything back if I cancel. Delta is also refusing to give me credit...

I canceled a flight for yesterday on Saturday night. Delta gave me full credit back for it (not a refund, but credit for future travel).

Nobody should be getting on a cruise ship right now. They're petri dishes in the best of times, and now is not the best of times.

We're going to cancel our cruise planned for next month, but does anyone know of travel resources (blogs, message boards, etc.) that provide updates/info on current cruises?

Understanding the guidance from the CDC about cruising, cruises are still happening and I'd like to see real-time/updated information about how things have changed on-board, if they've changed at all.

Ha s anyone else had any luck getting a refund or credit for their flight? I have to cancel our flights on United and not sure what, if anything, we'll get back. Currently on hold with the airline, estimated wait time is 60+ minutes....

Not United - they are giving flexibility to people who buy tickets from now to end of March, but nothing about tickets bought earlier.

Odd, I was able to cancel my flight on United and they refunded the entire price back to my credit card. I did this online. I know two people who were able to cancel flights on American for free as well. They just received flight credit that can be used in the next year, though, but they didn't have to pay a change fee.

You can cancel online with United and you will get back 100% of your ticket price refunded to your CC. No need to wait on hold.

DH got a credit for a future flight from United.

Any luck with getting money back from a European carrier? We are supposed to be flying to Ireland with Aerolingus. When we called a couple weeks ago they were going to slap us with huge change fees and credit would have to be used 12 mo from booking date which is not going to work for us.

Cruise critic boards have lots of info on the latest status of cruises, including occasional updates from people on board

My biggest fear is that we'd get over there and somehow get "stuck" in a quarantine situation and he wouldn't make it back to his college after break.

Would you risk it?

Yes, it's domestic. The college should understand as they usually have students from many states. As long as they aren't quarantined on campus, go.

i live in California, and I would not risk coming here from elsewhere. We are all being told to work-from-home and practice social distancing. Why you would want to fly through one of our airports is beyond me. The scale of the outbreak here is likely much, much larger than anyone knows due to lack of testing. Also, if you do get sick because you decided to take a fun vacation, I will be pissed if you take up a hospital bed that could have been used by a California resident with a lung disease (several people I know) or some other condition (e.g. I'm immunocompromised due to medication for my auto-immune disease).

Those of you saying it could be the last time you visit a sick or elderly relative. Yep it could be ... because you brought COVID. to them along with yourselves. What a great present!

Anyone heard anything about Frontier? (I know, I know.) have a flight to Florida April 4th. Interested in cancelling and would be fine with credit.
