Mass Deportation: this is going to be expensive

I voted for him and have no problem with H1 visas. Legal, well-educated immigrants make this country great. They don't require any financial support and they contribute immeasurably. ILLEGAL immigrants are the focus here, especially those with criminal records or who were due to be deported already but haven't gone.

Get a grip. No one is going to be killed.

+1. If the jobs dry up, they'll stop coming. If there's an immediate, severe consequence for the employers, they'll stop hiring undocumented workers.

We need to have stiff penalties for hiring illegal immigrants AND make it illegal for them to enroll in our schools AND prevent all services for them AND immediately deport any and all illegals in prisons or other institutions AND hunt down and deport all the rest. All of it.

Glad to see you are not a Christian.

DP. And thank YOU for admitting you support masses of illegal immigrants breaking the law to enter and stay in the country - not to mention, jumping ahead of all those who are patiently and LEGALLY waiting their turn.

Are you upset with Trump because he won't deport, or because he will?

Meaning...?

The thing is, the people Mumps is putting in charge of this "mass deportation" are incompetent. They don't know how to do anything, and this is going to be a colossal eff-up and money grab for contractors.
Remember The Wall, you know, the one Mexico was going to pay for??
It was built with gaps in it because ICE doesn't want people climbing over it and falling off.
The Wall was so flimsy that migrants cut holes in it with sawzalls.
The Wall was an utter, complete, total failure.
You notice Mumpsy never mentioned The Wall as a campaign issue.
The "Mass Deportation" is another pile of b.s. and bluster. They'll do something, build some horrendous "camps" and it will get mired in courts and in states' refusal to cooperate, and there will be news stories back and forth, and eventually it will all just fizzle out after tens of millions of our hard-earned tax dollars have lined the pockets of Mumpsy cronies and corrupt contractors.

But they (employers) are all Trump’s “frens” … what absolute morons R are.

Mark my words.

Grow a pair. The bad hombres these day all seem to be homegrown.

Then imprison or institutionalize them in a hospital.

Unfortunately the American terrorists keep on killing themselves and others before that happens..

They take away good American jobs and knock our wages down. You must not be part of the working class if you have no problem with that.

SCOTUS has already ruled that you cannot prevent children from attending primary schools based on their legal status. Of course we know that SCOTUS no longer believes in stare decisis, so I guess it’s now time to challenge that original ruling to see where the current court comes down.

I'll cheer when the border is completely secured, our asylum protocols are reformed, and criminals here without legal status are deported. I have an open mind and open heart to accept those that are already here without legal status and are only here seeking a better life as long as the flow of undocumented people is completely stopped going forward.

Kind of unfair, isn’t it? If you came in yesterday, for no good reason, you get everything, but tomorrow is the cut off? How about instead, if you have been here for 10 years without any legal problems, or are married to a U.S. citizen for 5, or similar ?

Not that any of this will happen…

Nothing in this is fair. The best we can do is prioritize stopping the bleeding by completely securing the border and reforming asylum protocols. Deportation on any large scale would be impractical, nearly impossible, and inhumane.

We had 8 million come in the last 4 years; shouldn’t be that hard to remove them.

You cannot remove them without due process, meaning: a removal hearing before an IJ, an appeal to the BIA, and then a petition for review before a federal court.

Then you need to obtain travel documents (ie - their passport from their home country, or other permission to re-enter). Many countries don’t want their people back, especially criminals.

It’s a ridiculously complicated process and only congress can meaningfully alter the process.

Securing the border is far easier. Next would be to incentivize unlawful immigrants to leave in their own, such as restricting benefits.
