Private & Independent Schools
| Anyone know or know where I can find that info? |
|
Holton $51 million
Sidwell $47 million STA $45 million Potomac $35 million |
| That seems very low for STA. |
| Episcopal HS |
The numbers are a couple of years old, so that's possible, but this group of schools probably still heads the list. |
True; I assumed perhaps wrongly that OP was asking about schools with mostly day students. Madeira also ranks with or above Holton, although well below Episcopal. |
Where did you find these numbers? |
No it's not. STA is far from the largest endowed local independent school The big names at the school are cheap. |
Although the school has just raised $72 million over the last few years, and built an incredible $44 million building, and is about to spend another $25 million on a complete renovation of the athletic fields. |
| I think Georgetown Prep has a land lease deal worth $130M alone http://www.achieve-efs.org/news/012605.htm |
Precisely. As one example. |
| Good to see Holton's numbers. Girls' schools traditionally get the short end of the stick. Families with kids at both a girls' and a boys' school will usually give much higher to the son's school. |
Where did you find these numbers? |
| Wow! I'm floored. Also, curious where do you find these numbers. Are they really this high even with all the stockmarket ups and downs? |
| You can find the numbers on many of their websites. And I know many of these are accurate. |
