] There were protests in Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix, LA, San Fran and other states that have spikes |
We are in some cities. When contact tracers aren't allowed to ask if those who test positive participated in the protests, it is easy to blame the spike on "reopening." https://www.newsweek.com/houston-protesters-begin-fall-ill-coronavirus-after-marching-george-floyd-1511066 https://www.fox26houston.com/news/houston-protesters-starting-to-test-positive-for-covid-19 https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2020-06-23/lapd-coronavirus-cases-spike-adding-to-debate-over-role-of-protests-in-spread |

There are so many factors that could be the cause of spikes. Unless all cities that had protests had them, you can't pinpoint the protests.
Are other cities besides NYC not asking people if they protested? |
Except the media was pronouncing the true infection rate was likely 10x higher than 2.6 million. This means the death rate is not 5% but it is really .05% or 1/2 of 1 percent and getting smaller every day as total cases increase and fatalities decrease. The media is now also reporting herd immunity is much lower than the popular 70% and is much more likely to be 15-20%. Given the current accepted infection % as reported by the media and backed by accepted studies and putting that on a timeline, the US will reach herd immunity in less than 2 months. Lastly, the CDC is now reporting the weekly all fatality curve is now less than what it would be in an average year. This means fewer people are dying on a weekly basis than the historical average. What was once a very severe pandemic is no longer a pandemic. |
Oh, so since the death rate is not as high, it's no longer a pandemic? GTFOH. Seriously, just GTFOH. |
What? Post a link for any of that. |
There is no link that says the pamdemic is over, so PP won't post one. PP is another RWNJ that wants to make everyone sick and has destroyed the country. |
Yes. https://www.clickorlando.com/news/local/2020/06/30/covid-19-patients-arent-asked-whether-they-participated-in-protests-doctor-says/ |
LA was a protest city, Houston not as much. Where are the spikes in Seattle, Minneapolis, DC, Detroit, NYC? |
Bottom line, are you willing to accept 5 million+ dead Americans and a stalled economy because of this virus? Because that is the trajectory we are currently on. |
You didn't bother reading the article..... The people testing positive in Houston are saying they participated in the protests and are proud of it. |
And did every single one of those people NOT go to bars or house parties? |
It looks like the common denominator shared by the cities with spikes is geography, not protests. |
Arizona just reported *4,878* new COVID cases in the last 24 hours--a staggering record. Arizona just reported *88* newly-reported COVID deaths--another staggering record. Arizona just reported the percent positive rate of tests today was *28.3%* -- this is...a numbing number. |
Right. When it got hotter, more people recreated indoors, at bars and restaurants. |
