PP is clearly not familiar with the cycle of abuse. It's not like the abuser is constantly abusive - if they were, it would be easy to leave!

There is a "honeymoon phase" of the cycle, during which the abuser pulls out all the stops and turns on the charm to make sure the victim is once again convinced that they are madly in love and if she just stops doing X, Y and Z to set him off, everything will be ok and the abuse won't recur. And this guy was clearly REALLY good at turning on the charm - even as a suspected murderer., he still managed to get a girlfriend!

If you read the police report. The evidence is pretty convincing and there’s a LOT of it. When you put it all together it tells sn ugly story. So many little details like the bloody camping pillows from the garage they found in a homeless area.

And handwritten alibi notes at Dulos’s house for him and the GF, which she admitted were lies. He was gone when she woke up that day.

I am translating from Greek. Information about what happened during the last moments of Dulos.

His sister talked to a greek newspaper. She said that Jennifer had multiple stays at a psychiatric clinic. When Fotis committed suicide he had the five photographs of his children in front of him. That his family asked for the children to visit him at the ICU in NYC and Gloria refused and they had to threaten legal action that would entail having Gloria's record examined. Then the kids were allowed to visit their dad at the ICU and after the visit life support was removed. All his organs have been donated and the funeral was in the hospital. Afterwards the body was cremated. She said that Fotis was upset because there was a gag order and his side was not allowed to talk but the police and Jennifer's family and friends were allowed to say anything they wanted so he could not defend himself. Gloria has refused any contact between the children and the aunt.

She can say what she wants and there is no way to prove or disprove it. Even if what she is saying true, it’s just a sad story all around. But he still shouldn’t have murdered Jennifer.

Why is the sister defending her brother? Murder is indefensible. The only acceptable course of action ought to be silence on her part.

If I were Gloria I wouldn't want the sister to gain custody of the children. She was going to back her brother no matter what. What does that say about her (the sister)?!

The issue of custody has not been adjudicated yet. Gloria had temporarily custody only for the duration of the trial. Now a new hearing will be held and his sister has the right according to the law to get custody of the children. The judge who was hearing the divorce case refused to give custody to Gloria in two separate hearings so she went to find a different judge, without notifying the Fotis side and got custody for the duration of the case. Since he died before the trial he is considered innocent and his family has equal right to get custody. Gloria's age and her animosity during the divorce years will count against her.

Right? After everything they have been through, with both parents now gone, the last thing a judge will do is decide to uproot them and grant custody to an aunt in a foreign country, over a grandmother who is a) incredibly wealthy and in a position to set these kids up for life, and b) has been in close proximity to the children, both physically and emotionally.
