I used to be a liberal - back in the day (college in the 90’s). Now seeing how the system is, how broken it is, and quite honestly how nasty some liberals can be if you do not think exactly like them (as evidenced by responses to my post), I have moved away from that mindset. Wouldn’t say I am totally to the right (I am 100% pro choice, for example), but I couldn’t align myself with that party anymore.

All I deliver is quality healthcare with compassion. My patients appreciate me. I’ve gotten many compliments. I know it blows some people’s minds that I can deliver compassionate care AND be against illegal immigration - it’s like you can’t wrap your brain around it.

So once again I say, I’d be willing to bet everything that I do more for these illegal immigrants in one day than most people on this thread do in a lifetime.

I'm like you. I was a liberal in college and the early years afterward, and I still remain pro-choice. But seeing how enraged liberals get when you deviate even slightly from the "approved" liberal position has made it very hard for me to vote for such nasty people ever again. Unfortunately, if they die in the desert on the way here, that is one of the many risks they took. It’s sad, but not unforseeable.

We shouldn't have freedom of movement for people still going through the asylum process. There is so much fraud and gaming the system that it is counterproductive to release them and then try to find them once they've been denied asylum. Keep them in one place until the are granted or denied asylum.

I have stated on threads before that I work in public health (and I’m VERY good at what I do. I even speak fluent Spanish for the benefit of my patients). All I deliver is quality healthcare with compassion. My patients appreciate me. I’ve gotten many compliments. I know it blows some people’s minds that I can deliver compassionate care AND be against illegal immigration - it’s like you can’t wrap your brain around it.

So once again I say, I’d be willing to bet everything that I do more for these illegal immigrants in one day than most people on this thread do in a lifetime.

It’s a sacrifice I make because public health is my calling. Believe me, if I wasn’t doing this my massive school loans would have been dead and gone years ago.

Unfortunately, if they die in the desert on the way here, that is one of the many risks they took. It’s sad, but not unforseeable.

Now seeing how the system is, how broken it is, and quite honestly how nasty some liberals can be if you do not think exactly like them (as evidenced by responses to my post), I have moved away from that mindset. I'm like you. I was a liberal in college and the early years afterward, and I still remain pro-choice. But seeing how enraged liberals get when you deviate even slightly from the "approved" liberal position has made it very hard for me to vote for such nasty people ever again. Don't they realize that by calling people who disagree with their hard-left policies "deplorable" and "amoral scum" they are driving moderate voters, ones who could potentially go either way, further away from the Democratic Party?
