How did you respond to Return to school survey

How did you respond to the return to school survey? Age of child?

I have a senior and am leaving to staying virtual (child Is on board). Too many unanswered questions. (Hvac updates? How many in a room- I can see them not wanting to commit? But kids can’t leave a room if they aren’t comfortable with a situation. I’m wary of putting that much trust in MCPS

MS/ 8th grader. We chose hybrid. I doubt it will happen because 8th graders are in the last phase-in group.

5th and 8th. We said hybrid. If they stick with the 5/100k metric, maybe we'll get a few weeks in during the 4th quarter for "graduation."

We chose hybrid for the 6th grader and distance for the 8th grader.

Answered the day it went live, with a request for my elementary and high schooler to stay virtual.

My children are doing well with DL, and since I have some knowledge of virology and vaccinations, I know MCPS will not open until fall 2021 anyway, unless it opens for some hybrid chaos that my kids want no part of.

Hybrid. 9th grader. If we are at the 5/100k metric, there will be no reason they shouldn’t be in school full time, in person.

Hybrid for 8th and 9th graders, no transportation needed.

Hybrid for 8th & 12th graders, no transport

hybrid 5th and 8th graders

I let my 9th graders decide. They want to stay virtual. We just lost a relative so they are scared they will bring it home and pass it to vulnerable family that we try to help.

My child is in a self contained school. He has 3 kids in his class. I responded with in person

Hybrid (no transportation required) for 6th grader and virtual for 10th. I mainly left it up to them. 6th grader wants in-person interaction and has trouble focusing at home. 10th grader seems to be doing okay at home and has enough interaction via other avenues (e.g. sports practice). That said, I don't think the health metrics are likely to happen this school year.

6th grader, we all choose DL.

LOL. That's not going to happen.
