I am not afraid but Pyle is stuffed to the rafters with kids, many of them annoying little assholes. My kids are doing a lot better in DL without the distraction thanks.

What? You want your kid to be in DL because the kids at Pyle as a$$holes (your words, not mine - my kids are at a totally different middle school)?

Okay, that’s cool, I guess? I hope you support the rest of us going back to school though.

If the kids at Pyle are really that bad, maybe you could send your to private? We can’t afford private and I would like to see MCPS reopen.

8th and 11th

We chose hybrid because it allowed us to change our minds later. If we chose virtual we were stuck with that choice.

In person of course.

Nassau County NY has more kids in school than MCPS. They have had all schools open the whole time. No problems and all teachers are at work.

NYC had the schools open.

Why are we shut?

And they also had to close down after things got out of hand.

I have a 7th & 9th grader. Choose Hybrid because I can choose DL in the end if MCPS makes another fiasco of this situation.

My bigger problem was the transportation question.... did they mean what your child would do if prior to DL or what you can do or need now. I will drive if it is our local MS/HS but if they are going to send them across county then we are going to be at home.

MCPS created this poor survey, so when parents/students start to bail after they layout the plan it is on them. Survey was driven to get you to select Hybrid but as our Peds Dr said, "it is time."

I didn't say ALL the kids were assholes. Please check your reading comp. Also this is 8th grade for us, once this academic year is over we move to HS.

True, you said many. And the many assholes from Pyle will follow your child to HS.

Well, except they're re-opened again.

Also, what are the various school districts in Nassau County doing?

My kids are all going back. We are also applying to private’s right now too because MCPS won’t be full time next year and it’s just ridiculous.

Kids die of suicide every year. Please provide valid proof that these suicides were all from DL and that they would not have occurred if school was in session in person full time.

Thanks in advance.

That's quite ghoulish, even by DCUM standards.

Only 1 or two places. My old town all schools open including 1,000 kid High School whole time. My wife was talking to old neighbor and she was confused. Her and husband back to work, kids went trick or treating. My relatives in Europe all back in school. DMV is only place doing remote

My cousins and sisters are teachers in Long Island and back to school it was.

Picked one at random in Long Island, look kids in gym class, choir practice, even in person college planning and back to school nights. They are open. Folks move to some towns just for award winning schools. I have four family members on Long Island all at school teaching. Nassau county has way more schools than MoCo

Hybrid 6th, 8th no transportation needed

Signed up for hybrid but will likely opt out and stay virtual unless we see an improvement in the metrics.
