I do not believe Israel has anything to gain anymore. So why can the fighting not stop?

Biden has proven to be useless in containing or controlling the crisis.

You realize Israel needs to defend itself, right?

Israel is fine, this doesn’t need to go on

Ah ok. Hope you never are in a situation where you need a safe room in your house, like every single Israeli home.

What did they expect would happen when they put their neighbors in an open air prison, killed thousands of them every year, drop white phosphorous on them, and bomb their civilians? Is this how peaceful countries act?

+1 Israel acting as if it didn't help create the situation that led to the massacre is absurd.

Do you really believe that if Israel completely stood down and opened its borders, everything would be okay?

Where was your outrage when President Biden and the media promoted Israeli disinformation (aka LIES) about beheaded babies?

I don't like the idea that he misspoke and claimed having "seen" the photos. But, we know he does crap like that all the time

The forensic teams that are responsible for identifying bodies have said that they have seen beheaded babies.

What about beheaded babies? Yes, said Dr Kugel, it was true.

Amid horrors that defy belief, the past week has seen an extraordinary debate about whether Hamas savages had decapitated defenceless babies, or had merely shot them dead. Reports of beheadings have been furiously attacked as fake news by some high-profile doubters.

It seems grotesque that we are even trying to get to the bottom of the method by which a baby was decapitated.

But there are some who refuse to believe that even the terror group's most sadistic fanatics would have stooped to such evil.

On Saturday, I spoke to a colonel who told me that he had not only seen a beheaded baby, but had held it in his arms as he recovered the child from a slaughter site in kibbutz Be'eri. Yesterday, with a heavy heart, I asked Dr Kugel, perhaps the most senior pathologist in Israel, if he had seen any babies without heads. He replied: 'Yes. Yes, I have seen that.'

From the Guardian

The main force of the explosion at the al-Ahli al-Arabi hospital hit a courtyard and car park at the centre of the medical complex, packed with families taking refuge from airstrikes in surrounding neighbourhoods, the Anglican bishop responsible for the compound said.

Hosam Naoum, Anglican Bishop of Jerusalem, also told journalists that in the days before a Gaza hospital was hit by a devastating explosion, Israeli forces had issued three evacuation warnings to its directors, and struck it twice with missiles.

It was crowds fleeing Israeli airstrikes elsewhere in Gaza city who bore the brunt of the blast, he said. “Two of our employees were injured, but the rest there were operations taking place when the blast (hit).”

“At that point in time (of the blast), we know there were thousands of people there,” he said. “They received a warning, there were some bombing and air strikes around the hospital and they fled in (to the hospital compound).

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday the Israeli authorities contacted hospital staff, mostly by phone, telling them to leave.

“They have the phone numbers of all the directors of the hospitals. So they can either send message or (use) whatever means they have to notify them,” he said.

“We received the two missiles that hit the hospital. We could see and tell that they are from an Israeli strike at the hospital. And then we received the warnings,” he said.

I know this much. I’m not going to believe any claims of mass casualties at this point absent extensive evidence. Hamas boasted about all their murders in their own Telegram, and there is independent corroboration, so I believe the initial Hamas attack happened. But it’s pretty clear now that this hospital attack was nothing like originally claimed, and mainstream media essentially uncritically promoted what turns out to have been Hamas propaganda.

I am not going to believe any of it any more unless there is a lot more proof.

You dont believe a hospital bombing in a completely devastated civilian warzone would have mass casualties?

This is the tipping point.

You only care about yours - it’s complete lack of empaty and humanity that is showing the true colors of Israel.

I’ve had enough.

I’m not Jewish or Israeli and in fact in the past have mostly been sympathetic to Palestinians. What I am interested in are facts, and there is extensive drone video of the actual hospital now. We can see it.

I know you are desperately hoping for mass casualties because of an Israeli bomb, and your hysteria is very visible from your posts, but I have no interest in your fantasy world when hard evidence exists.

This is the sick part--the Palestinian/Hamas shills on this site are GLAD that the hospital was struck, b/c it creates a propaganda opportunities for them.

They want to inflame the situation, incite more terror attacks against Israel (and possibly the US), and destabilize the ME.

They don't care that the result would be tens or hundreds of thousands of additional civilian deaths.

This has been the terrorist playbook for the last 50 years.

That's why they're so insistent that Israel struck the hospital--b/c it's the only narrative that serves their violent goals.

Please tone down your rhetoric. You're not helping. You're making things worse when you do the very thing that you're complaining about.

PP here.

I think it's quite clear that most of the current pro-Palestinian/Hamas posters are not posting in good faith, but rather in furtherance of an agenda.

I also think it's fairly clear what the results of that agenda will be.

IMO, pointing this out in no way resembles their behavior, particularly as I have no agenda except an honest discussion of the situation.

And why are you so insistent that a rocket struck the hospital when there is no such evidence. No I don’t believe Biden’s ‘other team’ statement while he sits right next to Netanyahu in Israel while being subbed by the Arab leaders. No we have yet to see any conclusive evidence that it was a rocket from within Gaza. We have no reason to wish for thousands of civilians to be killed by Israel because 4000 civilians, most of them bring women and children have already been killed by Israel. Don’t worry Israel is doing a great job ‘defending’ itself by taking the lives of innocent children….you know the children of darkness as Netanyahu said in his tweet….apparently Israeli children are children of light and Palestinian children are children of darkness…..this guy’s evilness knows no bounds.

So what is YOUR goal other than to spread Israeli propaganda spearheaded by Netanyahu who has a big contributing role to play in the current situation.

Media was very quick to blame Israel. Say what you want about Breitbart, but they are one news organization who are not interested in posting unvetted information to get clicks.

That's because an Israeli spokesman said Israel had bombed the hospital.

Please provide a link to this statement.

Outside of a few fringe university groups and social media posts, which have been correctly called out and denounced in the media, I have not seen anyone defending Hamas. I understand that this thread is moderated, but I have not seen a single post here siding with Hamas or calling them anything but what they are, which is a terrorist organization.

Calling out Israel's response to the terrorist attack that it suffered, which consists of indiscriminately bombing and starving two million civilians in Gaza (a war crime) in an attempt to smoke out Hamas, is not "siding with Hamas". That's incredibly bad-faith false equivalence.

Tlaib's tweet appears to be down, Omar's is still up.

Tlaib's is still up as of now.

That's exactly it -

1. a rocket goes off course in Gaza
2. it lands in a parking lot next to a hospital
3. that becomes 3a.) THEY BOMBED A HOSPITAL and 3b.) IT WAS THE IDF
4. "bombed a hospital" becomes "THE HOSPITAL WAS LEVELED, COMPLETELY DESTROYED!!!"
5. "hospital destroyed becomes" "500 DEAD!!!!"
6. "500 dead and a hospital destroyed" becomes "THE IDF USED A US JDAM AND DELIBERATELY TARGETED A HOSPITAL!!!!"
7. THE US AND IDF MURDERED 500 PEOPLE IN A HOSPITAL!
8. RIOT IN THE STREETS!!!! STORM THE EMBASSIES!!!

Yet the next morning we learn that the rocket a.) was a typical Gazan rocket, which went off course and landed in a parking lot, and didn't even damage the awnings on the building, let alone destroy it

How shameful. The Hamas spin machine is completely out of control and will get innocent people killed.

There's going to be more incidents like this you are realize right? It comes out in the wash in the sense that if Israel did this one, Hamas may be responsible for another future one. Vice versa. The sick part is it doesn't matter who did this as. Org sides will be doing things like this consistently as they always have. Focusing on this is not the point, ending the war is.

This is part of war - innocents will always die. Do you all think that wars are just bad guys shooting at each other?? Look at Bosnia, Syria, Iraq, Ukraine, every place that's had war, you will have this problem of innocents being slaughtered. Sometimes it's on purpose and other times not but they are still dead so let's move on to how to end the damn war. This is a never ending blame game until the next incident. And we will never really know.

I'm not. I've posted several times that we don't know who was responsible, and won't for some time.

But the rush to blame Israel is clearly motivated by a political/propaganda agenda.

And yes, Bibi is terrible.

Ah yes, I keep forgetting how fairly Israel has treated Arabs and Muslims in the past. Like citizens with equal rights.
There's a reason that former colonies, oppressed countries and formerly enslaved people across the globe are for a Free Palestine. This struggle has played out before.

Good for them for not propagating Israel's lies. I've not donated to them before but will do so now. They are the only ones telling the truth.

Quite the contrary. Donate if you want.
But, they are promoting Hamas propaganda at this point. All of the evidence points to an errant missile fired from Gaza. And, as far as I know, there are no IDF forces in Gaza firing missiles.
Then, we have that pesky audio tape......

Forget about an errant missile. How do we know that Hamas didn’t purposely fire on their own hospital to garner worldwide support? Putin likely blew up some civilian apartment buildings in his own country to propel his political career.
