Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 2

Sorry haters but she seems totally believeable. A perfect client. Innocent seeming, with those big eyes, a combination of disarmingly frank and just a dash of ditzy, even as she throws around scientific jargon. Either she's the real deal or an Oscar winning actress.

GOP have nothing on her, she's very credible. The GOP prosecutor is grabbing at straws. Dr. Ford is doing a great job, brave and strong woman and an American Hero.

This is ridiculous.

Yeah, Mitchell is asking totally weird questions and just making Ford seem more sympathetic

She's also terrified of flying... But logs more miles a year than most private pilots I know.

Which has to do with what?

My Mom is terrified of flying but does it to visit us in DC and a sibling on the West Coast. We're really proud of her every time she makes the effort. Is someone who has a fear, acknowledges it and overcomes it, a problem?

+1, my friend hates flying, very anxious during takeoffs and landing, but we go on vacations every year or so together.

What was the issue with the grandmother's funeral? I missed that part...

desperate?

no, I think she just seems to have a "problem" with how she percieves things.

And by problem, I mean "whether things happen or not"

Same with my mom. She makes the trip from Asia to visit her grandkids on the years we can't go.

So even the President disagrees with the most strident on this forum.

Trump values optics above all. He'll push for Kavanaugh's withdrawal.

No, that would mean giving value to the women who accuse men of misbehavior, and would cut too close to the bone.

Nope. He fires people when they become a bad look. He knows optics, say whatever else about Trump.

In fact, if you listened to her testimony carefully she said it was either on the day of her grandmother's funeral or the day after. I'm sure her lawyers have the exact date if it needs to be on the record.

He and Brian Williams were in the same platoon. Then Williams got transfered to NASA and became a door gunner on the space Shuttle

LOL. Don't forget the floating dead bodies.

She took the polygraph after the funeral.

And was hooked up to it for a long time and was crying. But only two questions were asked.

She did not want her parents to know what happened. She would have been in a world of trouble for drinking with boys in a house with no adults present. She wanted to pretend that it never happened. She detailed all of this

So she greets him? I'm sorry but I would not say "hello how are you to my attacker"

She was a kid, she didn’t want anyone to know what happened, and she had a long road ahead of being in the same social circle as those boys. She wanted to move forward as if nothing had happened, so saying hi really is not that odd.

I'm sorry but that is total BS.

WHY?! Women stay with physically abusive men EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. They live with them, sleep with them, raise children with them. But she can't say hi to her attacker to avoid the shame and scrutiny of questions?

These are not comparable.
Women stay with their abusers because of lots of reasons - they love them, they have no where to go, they are fearful.

But, for a 15 year old to INITIATE conversation with a boy who allegedly attacked her 6-8 weeks earlier is just not credible.
This is nothing like a woman who has a relationship with an abuser staying with an abuser.

Do you have personal experience as to what a 15 year old sexaully abused girl would or would not do? Please tell us how you handled your rape.

She said she flies for pleasure, for vacations, because it's more fun. I'm not a flier and while I flew when my Dad has a stroke, I prefer to drive. They live cross country.
