The only thing we can say with certainty at this point is that the pp has drunk the wrong amount. It is not clear whether it is too much or too little, but the present quantity is not working.

I do not want to repost the long exchange about airplanes at higher altitudes, but here from Wiki:
Military pilots with oxygen masks have to pressure-breathe, whereby the lungs fill with air when relaxed, and effort has to be exerted to expel the air again.[4]...at higher altitudes...
There is another site from the long pilot site that explains in greater detail why it is harder to breathe at 45,000 feet, even with a mask on (except for specialized masks made for the pilots to bring the airplane down ward into safer heights.)

The plane itself is valuable. While it is not valuable to an individual, it would be to an organized and well funded group. Don't even want to think what it could be used for...

The news media keeps going on and on about how very difficult it is to fly a plane on auto pilot....

Hmmm, maybe a pilot with a bit of experience could do even better.

Maybe when they first took the plane, and turned off the transponders, they knew we would think the plane crashed in the ocean. They didn't know about the subsequent satellite pinging.

I still think they took the plane to use in an attack later. We WOULDN'T all be looking for it if we thought it was at the bottom of the ocean. It's only because of the pinging that we know it flew for 7 hours - long enough to get to a hangar in a hostile state.

+1 The only mistake the hijackers made.

ITA, and they probably envisioned that the search would be entirely to the east of Malaysia, and concluding with a "lost at sea". No heightened alert for a weaponized 777 beyond what was already in existence before MH370 disappearance.
