Will Trump drop Vance?

Vance didn't have to audition for the job. Certainly he has watched over the last decades all of Trump's enterprises, and initiative, attorneys etc falter. Remember, Everything Trump Touches, Dies. Vance is just another in a long line of people who volunteered for this and will end up paying the price for the rest of his life.

I agree he's terrible, but sometimes I too want my son's to just stop it with Pokemon talk.

Of course you do. But do you say it in this aggressively di**ish way - which boils down to: Donald Trump is more important to me than you are? That's what he's saying here. Trump is more important to him than his family.

Which, big surprise!

Get outta here. He’s setting boundaries with his kid. Sounds like a great father. More parents should say no to their kids.

It IS Vance's fault that he chose to ignore his first belief that Trump was bad for the country and prostrate himself at his feet to ride his coattails.

That shows very bad judgment, and I hope he suffers the just consequences come November.

I also note that he wasn't even a good venture capitalist! The only success he's had is writing his stupid book, which wasn't even that good.

How can anyone watch clips like this and not realize he’s lying about everything? A creepy dweeb with a vivid imagination.

Worse than actually telling your 7 yo son to shut the hell up: This entire story was clearly another fabrication. He is a boring creepy dweeb who compulsively lies about everything in an effort to sound more interesting, funnier, bigger victim, braver, etc. He is so uncomfortable in his own hicklib middle class skin that his mind is moving a mile a minute trying to make up nonsense to pander.

He tries so hard to put across a “Heck, I’m just a regular guy” vibe and it’s never works, does it?

You can always tell when he’s thinking about a couch (i.e., 24/7) and what he’d like to do with it.

I posted the following during the Republican convention and I was wrong on two counts: 1. Vance self-destructed and didn’t need Trump to take him down and 2. It certainly didn’t take a year or two!

Here is what we can safely say about JD Vance and his wife, whether Trump wins or loses: Trump will chew them up and spit them out and they will never be the same. It’s just gravity, people. He will destroy their reputations and/or marriage, and/or careers, just like he has for everyone in his orbit. How do you all think he is Teflon Don? He gains that armor by letting everyone around him get hit by all the bullets. They think because they have fancy educations they will outsmart or outlive him. What adorable hubris.

It starts with the relatively understandable steps that any ruthless striver would take: selling out your principles in the hopes of gaining some of Trump’s power. Then she quits her job, some right wing loons start saying racist things about her, the media starts scrutinizing him more closely.

And then, the pressure begins. The environment Trump creates is one of constant negativity and stress. They try to insulate themselves but over time cracks form. I don’t know if she’s going to change her “style” or whatever, but over time, they will have less than what they started with.

I’m going to check on this post in a year or two to see how it all pans out.

Your utterly unhinged drivel makes it clear who actually has issues here... wow.

DP. I think it's crappy to kids who didn't ask to be in the public eye to have their parent tell a story like this publicly to make them (the parent) seem relatable.

LOL! Agreed. Who among us hasn't wanted our kids to shut up about Pokemon? This might be the most relatable thing he's ever said.

I'm just horrified by the manspreading going on in that video.

Yeah, what's up with that? Pretty weird.

He can join the ranks of the 40/44 administration officials that Trump had over 4 years that will not endorse him, some of whom are in or served in prison.
The dozens and dozens of lawyers who supported Trump and then ended up broke, disbarred, or in prison.
The hundreds of supporters who believed Trump and staged a coup for him, only to end up in prison.
The many, many people who supported Trump and ended up with nothing, not even payment that was promised them.
The state lawmakers in many states who ended up losing their jobs all in the name of supporting Trump to the point of perjuring themselves.

Vance will be lucky if he only ends up a political has-been like Sarah Palin.
