It looks like the coos were busy tackling hysterical parents while their kids were getting slaughtered inside. And Reps complain about police reform. |
| It's not fair to beat up these LEOs. We don't know the situation at all. Once the guy is in you can't really just barge in without having a plan. The shooter already was in - that room was totally shot up. I mean once he's locked into a room he's not going anywhere and the damage is done. You have to ensure the safety of everyone else in there. You can't just go in and shoot it up so they followed protocol and waited for SWAT. It's not like the movies people. I would suggest the right questions are why he's able to get in at all. You can fault not getting him in outside of the school but once he's in and barricaded there's not much you can do. I don't know if they knew he was barricaded or not but look at any other shooting at as school and the shooters either Jill themselves inside the school or outside the school. Or if you are already inside and can engage them but to blindly just go in shooting is not really sensible. I think it's easier to be angry in hindsight but in the moment they had to be sure they could get him. Of course it's infuriating this could happen at all, it's absolutely horrific he could be in and get into a room at all. But really you don't know the reason they waited to go in and maybe they were getting other kids out in the meantime which is the best they could have done. |
Ok, Neville Chamberlain. They could’ve rescued shot kids. Instead, these kids were left to bleed out for 90 minutes. Pathetic. |

Can’t wait to hear more about the brave local first responders on the SWAT team who appear to have done nothing for at least 40 minutes. And what training did CBP tactical team have in responding to an incident at a school?
|
Oh look, another apologist. Since you apparently are so okay with what happened, hopefully the next time this happens and the cops just stand around outside letting it happen, it will be your kid inside instead of mine. Because I care enough to hold people accountable and you don’t. |
|
Yep what happens when one gun man holds the only point of access while another kills everyone in the building or you line up the hostages in the one entrance so the police have to shoot through the hostages. That happened in Russia. I bet Cruz and republicans will say how could we know this would happen? |
The city has its own SWAT team. Unfortunately it’s relevant expertise seems to be limited to playing dress up and tweeting out photos. |
This is a pathetic attempt. Comparing us to Central America? And a list of ONE in Taiwan, TWO in Israel, ONE in Yemen? Really? Next you'll be telling us how the universal right (for men) to bear arms has worked out so well in Afghanistan. SMDH |
I’m surprised CBP wasn’t too busy with their mission of dumping out caches of water left in the desert. |
Did you miss Abbott’s press conference yesterday? That is exactly what he did and blame the mentally ill. Abbott praised the great response from law enforcement and local security. How they rushed in and confronted the killer. They got their man eventually. They did a great job! I am surprised he did not blame video games and porn. Anything but easy access to guns(that he just made possible). Now he and the rest of them are off to private suites at the NRA convention to formulate new talking points. |
Sandy Hook was locked. |
Yup. We've totally lost course as a country. As a teacher, I feel like my job is to teach my subject, try to mentor and guide kids, but not to function as a full parent or security force! I have noted odd and concerning behaviors and shared them with our school counselor, but that's the extent of it. I'm not going to stand up in a classroom and care for these kids and in the next moment be able to whip out a gun and shoot someone dead. Even if a former or current student drew a gun, I'm not sure I could shoot to stop him. |
| When I saw the press conference it looked like some people on stage were uncomfortable….maybe they were uncomfortable with the lies coming out of abbott’s mouth? I doubt it. |
